Fuel Vapor Charcoal Canister - how to connect?

How to properly connect the vacuums? I didn't describe to myself when disassembling and now I'm racking my brain 😞

These are the only diagrams/procedures I can find in the 1998 Lexus manual.  It should be identical for the 1999 model year.

Do you perhaps know how the car would react if I connect this wrong ? Will there be any errors ?

I don't really know how the engine would react.

I do know that some vehicles will set the check engine light for a loose fuel filler cap.  Might be the same with an incorrectly connected evap cannister.

Perhaps having the vacuum lines connected incorrectly at the evap cannister, example - having a vacuum line that's supposed to be connected to a closed valve but connected to open to the air would be seen as a vacuum leak and set a trouble code.

Interesting, 
Many times during the repair, the car was started without the canister plugged in and was able to run normally for up to 20 minutes without an error.
