Can I Screw My Amp To My Sub Box?

i have a 12 inch Alpine, and i was wondering if it was ok for me to screw my amp to my subwoofer box? the sub screws into the box so i figure it would be ok, but i want to make sure...

you can but that is only if the box is secured properly as well. or you are looknig to short out the wires.

i am going to be building a custom floor with a trap door in the trunk, so i will probably just screw the amp to that then, thatway if they take my sub, they dont get my amp too! LOL. now i just need a wiring harness for my HU, i dont want to cut and splice the stock one. then i need to bypassmy factory amp, again, i dont want to cut and splice.

oh you will, but it will be months, if not a year, before i can gret this done...i dont knwo near enough about stereos to go bypassing factory amplifiers, etc.
