laxdude3622 Posted October 16, 2004 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Alright so I ordered some trunk lifts off ebay, and got them in on Friday, and I was in the process of putting them in, and I have removed one of the lifts which was hard as crap, then I run into a problem. When I'm trying to put the new ones on, I realize that I can't put it on there because i don't have a ball and socket bolt thing, that was attached on the old one. And I can find one, I went to Home Depot and Lowes, they didn't have it. And it is not possible to take the old one off. Can anyone help, anyone know what I am talking about?? Help Please! I had to use a Dremel tool to cut the ball and screw mount from the old lifts. They fit fine but had a lot of power. I would recommend try changing one side first. If you set your beeeer on the spoiler and hit the trunk opener it will launch the beer a bout 15 ft. But any other suggestions would greatly appreciated. Thanks! Mine is not strong enough to launch a can of beer. When I open it from the inside, the trunk opens but sits there. It is only when I physically lift the trunk, it will open freely and stay up.
