schraids Posted September 29, 2004 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Hello all Recently I have been noticing noises coming from the dash in my 98 GS, and just now discovered that the noises are directly related to the climate control unit. It sounds like there is some sort of electric door that keeps opening and closing and at some points sounds like there are three or four of them doing it simultaneously. I held the Auto, and recirculate buttons while turning the key on, and it came back with no error codes, I then hit the recirculate button to have it run through the tests, and still nothing. After playing with the unit for a while, I found that it will not make the noises when the temp is set at one extreme or the other, but does anywhere in the middle regardless of mode, fan speed ect. I have tried unplugging the battery for 30 mins to reset everything, but the problem is still there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
