chrispiss Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 At times my climate control is tempermental. I'll have it cranked all the way to "hot" but it won't blow hot air, it will stay cool. I can hear the little motors moving around behind the dash, so I'm guessing there could be a sensor somewhere that's to blame? I tried searching but I didn't know what to search for, and I came up with nothing on this... please help thanks :) Oh, btw skperformance, thanks for that sweet faq you wrote :)
steviej Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 search on "expansion valve" and open the search up to cover the last 365 days. steviej
amf1932 Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Did you check the heater hoses to see if there is circulation thru the heater core? Also, the coolant level in the radiator.
SKperformance Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 No heat means either no fan or flow through the heater core. Since it is only a problem with hot not cold , i would presume the fan works fine. I would presume the small valve on the firewall with hoses attached is not moving due to the cable on it being stuck as it controls the flow of hot coolant to the eater core to be blown by the fan. Check that
