laxdude3622
Alright so i have a problem here. My guy at the muffler shop calls me and tells me that the mufflers i got, magnaflow ss 14829's, are center/center and won't fit right. He says I need it to be offset/offset or offset/center. I thought people used this on their sc400??? what is wrong?? help please!
jcm3
Thtas true if your making direct fit setup but any compitent muffler shop can make them work. Basically let them make a new section from the flange back.
Mr. Curious
first, tell them that they are idiots cause i have straight through no-offset mufflers on my sc. second, leave. third, go to another exhaust shop. i had the same thing told to me by a bunch of retarded rednecks that tried to charge me $2700 for an exhaust. yeah, ummm... no. laxdude3622
ok i just picked up my car, and i talked to the guy and he said he couldn't use the center/center mufflers. He said they would have to be coming out of the side or somethin or hanging really low and would look bad. Should i find another shop? Is there another muffler similiar to the 14829 that has an offset inlet and center tips?? thanks guys
Mr. Curious
14826 has the long double walled slant tip 14813 has a shorter double walled tip, but the mufflers overall diameter is smaller
