Shorty Posted September 23, 2004 Share Posted September 23, 2004 Hello All, There were several series about repalcemetn speakers for the factory 4" speakers, 1990 LS400. I have the Nakamichi system, and put in first the Infinity 4002I, which sounded good, cut since I have the upgraded system, I returned them and found the new Infinity Kappa Series 42.5I, and installed them. The Kappa series is a C.M.M.D. which came with a cross over to serate the bass from the Highs. To install I had to take out the whole black speaker unit, and open that up to find a place for the cross over. (Actually, removing the whole unit and working on a bench was much easier than working on the door.) The Speakers are a perfect fit, and best of all, the sound us unbelievably FANTASTIC. I'm staring from the top of my CD collection and listening to every one again. There are notes in there I have never heard before!!!! Don't hesitate, if you still have stock speakers, change them anyway!. If you don;t want to mess with the speaker housing, the 4002I was plug and play!
