Auto Window Problem

if auto up the the window it goes up then back down half way every time

have to close the window without putting the switch into auto mode

your a man of few words sounds like the switch is going bad to me. i had a similar problem with a customer on a merc. but those switches are really cheap looking.

Not sure if yours has it, but many cars with auto up windows have a safety feature where the window reverses when it meets an obstruction or resistence. Could this be what's happening to yours? Is the window action smooth all the way up? You can test the safety feature if you put a little pressure on the glass as it is closing.

try lubing the felt strip for reduced resistance
