NeiLtYmE Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 My good friend totalled her corrola by pulling into the middle of traffic while making a left turn. The air bag deployed on her face, besides that shes cool. anyways, i was wondering if what i was thinkin is correct. All the light and cruise controls are the same on the first gen Es300's and the 94 corolla im talking about. The steering wheel is the same basic shape too. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure these are interchangable. Im asking this because i was thinking now would be a sweet time to send that wheel and get something cool made out of it. like that american stiches company. thanks, Neil
SKperformance Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 google for pics to see what it looks like The spokes look similar doesn;t mean much I doubt he rolla wheel is the same, it is probably not as tall from the stalk .
branshew Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I'm going to side w/ SK on this one. The wheel on my Mom's old '95 Camry is very similar to my'95 ES. The diameter of the ES seems a bit larger though. That's not to say that it couldn't be installed in a swap, but it may be a stretch to go from a Corolla to an ES. You may be better off picking up something from a "recycled parts" dealer and sending that off instead.
NeiLtYmE Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 yeah thats what im starting to belive to now. tommorow im actually going to go out there and do all the measuring. Ill let you guys know what i see.
SKperformance Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 bran if the wheel you have in the camry is not leather then it will seem smaller but the 2 wheels of the camry and ES are the same other than leather and the emblem on the bag
NeiLtYmE Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 Sk... that means i can use any core of a camry thats 92-96. You got any good places i can look? there arent many great junk yards in my town here.
