rwallican
Just found a site called lexuspartsmall.com where you can purchase oem parts for less than retail. Lots of good stuff! I found an oem cd changer for $700. I'm not sure if it will fit. I have a 96 ls and it's for a 98-00. Does anyone know if it will work? ylekiot1
This site is excellent for salvage parts. I got a master cylinder here for 50 bucks. I have the 1990 lexus and they redesigned the brakes soon after (they were weak) so finding a new master cylinder for my car (pre 8/90 production date) was nearly impossible. Dealer wanted 350 for a new part. Can't say enough about this place. http://www.taprecycling.net/
tndboult
rwallican, 700.00 is too much. Call North Park Lexus @ 210-308-8900 they quoted me 615.00 for a new cd player/ changer.
monarch
Just found a site called lexuspartsmall.com where you can purchase oem parts for less than retail. Lots of good stuff! I found an oem cd changer for $700. This website does not seem to sell mechanical parts, just accessories. For example, I entered the part number for the LS400 oil filter 90915-YZZD3 and the website couldn't even find this most basic part.
rwallican
Thanks for the info fellas. I went with a refurbished changer from S&J Used Auto Parts in New York. I sent a part inquiry out over the net and they responded with an email letting me know they had my changer for $275!! They have a 90 day warranty on everything they sell. It's on the way. Now I can get rid of my aftermarket FM modulated Alpine
