How Long Til Airbag Light Comes On?

Hi Folks,

When I pull the battery cable off, how long until the airbag light will come on? The manuals are very vague, and I searched here and didn't find the answer.

Once you pull the battery cable off, the air bag lights will not come on since there is no juice to power them.

You shouldn't have any problems with the airbag system if you disconnect the battery. See my last post in your other thread about the timing belt.

what are you trying to do?

that you need the light to come on, which it won't

This is the sequence. When you turn your ignition key to the on position, the airbag light should turn on. At this point the airbag system goes through self checks, and if everything is OK the airbag light goes off. If the airbag light remains lit, you have a problem. ;)
