cvep1994
Good Day All... I have just purchased my second Lexus. I have purchased a 2000 LX 470 with 39,000. Beautiful Car... I purchased from independent broker (whom said and carfax seems to verify was bought by him at lease return auction). Car is perfect in every way.... how do I get a warranty? through Lexus Dealer? through Third-Party? Is current warranty (powertrain 6/70,000) automatically transferable? btw, my other lexus is a 96 ES 300 I purchased as lease return (CPO), great car, no problems other then cracked leather seat. Please help! cvep1994atyahoo.com :D
jarcara
I picked up a 2000 LX from a lease-end broker as well. My truck had 58K on it. I have done the 60K scheduled maintenance, installed new tires and finally sprung for the extended warranty. I am glad I did, I took it in for some "annoyances" and it turned out to be $3,900 worth of work that was covered! I paid $2,500 for it 4 weeks earlier. I now have piece of mind when driving the vehicle. It is well work the money. Things don't go wrong often but when they do it expensive! Good Luck! Victor
I wish I could have got to you sooner. I just bought the 100,000 bumper to bumper policy from a 3rd party with a $0 deductable for about $1,800. They even cover the Navigational unit, although that may not be a consideration in the 2000 model. I can still take it to the Lexus dealer for repair.
