Chrome Wheels Flaking Off Chrome Plating

On the 1997 ES300 with 40k miles detailed 1-2 times per year, some of the chrome is flaking off of the factory wheels.

I'm wondering if this is a common occurrence and if anyone has had this problem and replacement from the factory?

all chrome factory wheels suck. Yes. I have the same problem.

If you live in a wintery area, make sure you wash it once a week to get the salt off.

I believe there is a 3 year warranty on the chrome, beyond that you're on your own :(

Since you're also out of the 4 year 50k bumper to bumper warranty I highly doubt they'll cover it.
