jlin101 Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 the a/c light on my RX330 flashes sometimes--turning a/c or the auto button on and off resets it. Any idea?
SKperformance Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 you compressor is locking up and will eventually die if not looked after
Sark003 Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 All of this is an indication that the speed of the compressor is not matching the speed of the engine. Make sure the belt is tight. Make sure that the front of the compresor does not have any oil residue there. This was an issue with some early model RX's with the front seal for the compressor leaking. Also in wet weather if water gets on the belt and causes the belt to slip, It will cause this problem.
SKperformance Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 not really a speed issue it is a sensor built onto the compressor for high pressure which disables the clutch and makes the a.c light flash

Replaced mag. Clutch relay. No luck. Any ideas
Drcoffee Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 You need to check your pressures, high and low. It could be low on refrigerant.
Jordan Cohen Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Thanks for response ft offer. Will check it out
TrevC Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Sometimes, the A/C system relay packs up...locate it, take it out and shake it...if it rattles then it's broken. Once replaced, the A/C system may need to be reprogrammed to then start working Cheers Trevor
TrevC Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Well I only know it for the Honda system...which may be completely different but it was a case of holding the mirror and rear screen demist button and pressing a combination of other function buttons within a certain timeframe. This then puts the system in a relearn mode and it cycles through the system and then is reset.
TrevC Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 There is a TSB for this problem http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=17747
