Russkiy Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 i am thinking about getting a SC400. Found one for a good price with 107K on it. The car has ac ouple issues but everithing is fixable and not a big deal. What kind of gas mileage should i expect to get from this car after i get all the tune up done (plugs, filters, oil etc.) thanks Igor
RedLexusSC400 Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 I average about 20 to the gallon in my 92 400. A few more getting on the freeway every once in a while.
93LSOwner Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 You should get 18 mpg in city and 23 mpg on the highway.
SAMOHT023 Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 JUST BOUGHT MINE ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I HAVE 174000 MILES ON MY 93 SC AND I AVERAGE ABOUT 17 IN THE CITY AND 23 ON THE HIGHWAY. THAT IS "NORMAL DRIVING" NOW WHEN YOU DECIDE TO PUT YOUR FOOT IN IT YOU CAN ALMOST SEE THE GAS NEEDLE MOVE! BUT IT SO SO MUCH FUN AND WELL WORTH THE EXTRA TRIPS TO THE GAS STATION. IF GAS MILEAGE IS YOUR CONCERN, BUY A 4 CYLINDER AS AN EVERYDAY DRIVER.
mikee72 Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I usually average 20-ish with mixed driving, but if you do any long-distance driving, your mileage will increase substantially. I got 26-28 MPG driving my car home to WA from TX.
Thienn Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 My 1996 Sc400 gets between 23-24 mpg on mostly highway driving! I drive faster than normal (80-85 mph) but I always starting out slow.
