Hey guys.... i was looking around for a new exhaust system for my 96 es300.... anyone have any ideas on that one?

just go to a local muffler shop and get 2.5 inch stainless steel when you find a muffler style and tip you want

that is the cheapest and easiest way

Hey, not to step on anyones toes, but wouldn't you say that adding a loud exhaust to a quite car seems like a bit of a waste (or contradicion)?

That said, is there any way to modify the exaust (for increased power) with out changing the sound too much?

hey put you location in the profile

sure put 2 exhausts and it will be quieter

or atleast leave the resonator in when changing the pipeing and use a different muffler that is what i did and it didn't make it sound like a rice rocket

I do not think there is any company out there that nakes a cat back system for your car. You may need to look an uni. muffler system. For that motor you should have a piping size of 2.38ths inches.

actually the piping size is 2.5

up to the resonator from the cat

then it changes to 2.25 inches from the res to the muffler

greddy does make one if you can find it

What i was saying is that to have piping made in that size. As far as GReddy goes, trust me when i tell you they do not make a system for the ES.... :D

so it isn't for distributution for sale in north america

is there something special with a 2.38 size of piping which isn;t a common size i have never seen as it isnt in a .25 inch increments

The size is the perfect matched to this engines output. 90% of the exhaust system offered by GReddy/Trust is 60mm, this equles 2.38inces. Only with high horse power vehickes would you need anything larger. You are right about GReddy. GReddy is the US side of TRust Japan. TRust has no listing, nor have they, for an ES 300. it used to be made listed under the mcv 10 chasis

a few years ago

i guess tehy have an abundance of 2.38ths piping

2.25 is usually used for 4 cyl

6 cyl usually use 2.5 when going a performance route

2.38 i am not sure where to even order that size

bigger is a waste except for a forced induction car

2.5 works fine on every 6 and above cylinder

only person who might notice a difference is someone sitting at a dyno all day

sorry for me not saying more to make sense of the trust situation

but it is kind of a dead duck
