austinls Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Since the 1998 LS is a VVT engine, will timing belt failure cause engine problems? My 1998 has 94,000 miles, nearing the point Lexus suggests changing the belt. I don't relish spending some $900, but it it is better than $$$'s later if the belt breaks.
silvermate Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 this topic has been discussed on numerous occasions. just do a search at the bottom of the page and you will find everything you need to know. ;)
