PharmGuy
Ok, I figured it's about time I start a topic, and since I put my vehicle in the Owner's Garage, this sounds like a good spot. My title say's it's green but it certainly looks more Silver to Gray. Any comments, or thought's, please attach them to the thread. It's got 60K on it now, but it's in great shape. I had the windshield replaced recently due to a stone, but stuff like that is bound to happen. One of my friend's recently rode in it, and commented "Nice car, but you can't go off-roading". I can't imagine anyone going off-roading in a Lexus, but if anyone does-- drop me a note, just so I can tell him it's possible---lol. mtakeda
A few years back, a friend of mine took his RX 300 out mud bogging and some mild off-roading, the car came back dirty but mechanically fine.

Thanxs in Advance PharmGuy (Paul) PharmGuy, Did you just buy the 2001 RX300? How much did you pay for it? It is from a dealer or from a private party? Do you have a picture of it? Where did you get your windshield replace?
93LSOwner
Is it true that 99.9% of the people in the US who buy SUVs never go off-roading?
PharmGuy
Hey93LSOwner--- thanks for the statistics on the off-roading use. I've got some friends that are "truck-nuts"-- that drive almost anywhere. I can't see me forging a river, or hopping rocks-- but I'll ride with them and hold on!!! PharmGuy
Hi autodriver. I put a pix into the Lexus Owners Club Members Garage at the end of June (click next to the flag). As far as the other questions--- purchase price is listed there too. I did buy it Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) from a Lexus dealership in CT. It wasn't the closest one to me, but I found them willing to deal, since I would be driving in their "competitor's region" with an "out-of-state" vehicle. Maybe, just maybe, they wanted some freebie advertisement due to the license plate holder, but I didn't mind. They have treated me well, vehicle runs great--smooth. It's my first luxury car, so I can't figure out WHYis used to drive Ford's Dodge's, etc--- up to this point! As far as the windshield goes----- Massachusetts has a "glass replacement policy" with our insurance. They give you a listing of approved locations and they do the work, bill your insurance, and it's covered 100%. I didn't see any dealers listed, but I asked a friend at a VW dealership. They send the work out, basically because it's been the standard for a long time and most the replacement shops only do it for a living.
