2010 Lexus RX350 100k miles...

Rattle or clunk clunk in front end when driving on bumpy areas.

What is this noise? I've recorded it here:

* I've replaced the ball joints (not the lower control arm though)
* Doesn't seem to make noise in the struts when standing still and pumping the front up and down, the struts actually seem secure.

Any help?

Ideally, your vehicle would be on a lift so that you can walk around underneath and shake/inspect suspension or exhaust components. I've taken each of my vehicles to my favorite alignment/repair shop to investigate strange noises. At least twice, all they had to do is tighten up a bolt.

msat,  I have the same thing.  2011 rx350.

It feels to me like it's in the steering column. The guy I bought the car from said it was a gasket in the steering column

that wore out.

Have you solved it yet?

I have the same issue in my 2013. Sounds like it's coming from the dteering column. Changed ball joints, lower control arms and tie rod ends. Maybe upper Strut bushings?Anyone find a solution?

It's going to be the struts. I had the exact same noise on my 2009 rx350. I just replaced the struts with Gabriell Ultras and the noise went away and the car ride like oem.  I could not reproduce the noise by pushing down on the front end or shaking the wheel when front end is jacked up.  I was able to reproduce the sound by taking the front wheel off, then placing a scissor jack under the hub/brake assembly and raising it, thus compressing/uncompressing the strut. The strut made a clunking sound while raising and lowering the scissor jack at a slow rate. I also tried my Steelman clamp on microphones. I put them on the strut and hub assebly then drove the car. The Steelmen mics could not pick up the sound.
