Charlie Wertheimer Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 My 2007 460ls transmission will operate smoothly until the car is started and driven again. The reverse gear will not engage for a few seconds. The car will not shift into second gear. When I let the car sit for several hours it will operate with no transmission problems. Any thoughts?
RX400h Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Is there a way for you to check the fluid level? Has it ever been replaced?
Charlie Wertheimer Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 Hello, The car is at a transmission shop. Level is correct. Do not know if the fluid has been changed. We may try to replace the TCM with a remanufactured one. Do you know where this unit is located? Appreciate your input.
RX400h Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I cannot find anything that specifies the TCM's exact location. There are several sites (such as the one below) that offer remanufactured TCMs. Lexus TCM Repair Electronic Control Module Repair - Module Experts
