Lexus ES300 2001 - Cabin Light won't Turn on when Door is Open

Hello -

I have an older ES300 from 2001.

When I open the door, the cabin light does not come on. The cluster however is indicating that I have the door open. Is there a switch that can be set for this? I am at a loss at the moment.

I would first check the owner's manual. Many dome lights have a switch that allows you to keep the light off, even when the door is open.
Otherwise, it could be the bulb itself.
