My wife's 2001 ES300 has had a slow battery drain that results in a low battery charge and inability for the car to start after several days of not being driven.  I first charged the battery to 12.7 volts with a battery charger, I checked the alternator and found charging at 14. 4 volts and took the battery to Pep Boys to conduct a load test and battery condition after 1.5 hour charge.  Battery checked out in good condition.  I then proceeded to finding what was causing the battery drain.   Using a multimeter set on "amps" I removed the ground connector from the battery and hooked one multimeter lead to the battery and the other lead to the disconnected battery ground cable connector.  After 3-5 min. with the ground strap disconnected, I took a reading of the battery drain.  The multimeter showed a 150 ma current drain.  At that point I started pulling fuses to see which would stop the drain.  When I pulled the 10a ECU-B fuse the drain immediately dropped to 20ma.  The question I have is what devices/circuits receive power through the ECU-B fuse?  Second, what further steps can I take to determine what device/circuit fed from this fuse are drawing current with the key off and the car sitting idle?

At this stage you need a wiring diagram, something that Lexus does not pass around cheaply. You might try finding a Camry V6 wiring diagram (possibly easier to locate) or go online to a site that allows downloads of sections of Lexus f-Factory Service Manuals for a fee. Here's a link to a site that may have what you need for a $7.50 one month charge:

So I have a 2006 Lexus ES330 with 83,000 miles.  It's been a great car so far.  I have noticed the acceleration slip that most people talk about but I'm ok with that.  I just had a new  battery put in three days ago under warranty because  my battery of less than two years completely died. I also had my inspection done at the same time and passed. According to Firestone they tested  my alternator and it was fine.   So now three days later I am driving and my car goes nuts like it's having a power surge, I can tell the accelerator isn't engaging, the dash lights (brake, ABS, check engine and a faint battery light) come on and my air starts blowing super high, then low and does this about 3 times before I shut it off.  I parked the car and after about 1 min all the dash lights go off but the check engine light.  I go to auto zone and have them run a diagnostic and it shows my vehicle speed sensor caused the check engine light to come on. Well that doesn't explain the power surge and my speedometer (which is usually the first to go if the sensor is bad) is working fine.  Any ideas???

      Hi Guys / gals,
I have a 2006 GS 300 AWD, i am having issues with starting my car, it has starting issues intermittently,
      - car wont start after being parked, had AAA come and jump start the car and seems to be fine. they told me my battery was dead so i took it to the dealer
      - dealer did a parasidic test on the vehicle, and seems everything was opertating normally and advised I did not need a new battery, although they suggested the since the car is 6 years old it may require a new battery.
      - I had the battery replaced, and the problem reappered a couple days back. Car wouldnt start after being parked for a short period of time. We waited for about 10 mins, pumped the brakes and seems to start the car.
      - does anyone have any suggestions or had the same issues
this is my parents car and i need to get this problem solved ..... please help!!
