  2. How did you get the vent off? Did you just use a screwdriver and pry around the edges?
  3. yours is wood grain? weird, how did you get that? are we talking about the same thing? it touches the bottom of the head unit right? mines plain black matching the radio.
  4. Here's a pic of rotors with both holes and slots. Are these rotors overkill? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2418155293
  5. 92ES300, how much force do i need to pop off that black plastic cover between the bottom of the headunit and the top of the cupholder. Is there a trick or do I just pull straight out?

  8. On the OEM factory tape only radio head unit, it says on the cassette insert flap: Anti-Theft System [)(Dolby B-C] P1700 Doesn't yours?
  9. BTW, How does the anit-theft protection system of the head unit work? I thought those systems destroyed the radio if a burglar took it out.
  10. sk, are your HIDs MUCH brighter than the silverstars?
  11. don't have problems in the rain, so you're prolly right
  12. I suppose its a power washer, it a multi-spray washer gun that i got from brookstone. see it here: http://www.brookstone.com/shop/product.asp...pe=subcategory#
  13. I think its just that the dealer charges more for labor, $90/hr vs $60 per/hr for local shops. Also the dealer inflates the part prices somewhat.
  14. I think lexus goes with the brand name sylvania 4100K bulbs which are white. Anything higher is more blue. And sylvania doesn't make them any higher than that.
  15. yeah its on the outside, sounds like its common, but its annoying that it takes so many days to dry. When I meant the plastic, inside the door i meant the plastic bag that separates the outside from the inside.
  16. also i didn't have a problem with my previous cars.
  17. actually, the water is getting all the way inside, cuz i took the door panel off once to fix a rattle and the plastic cover was caked with water spots. Also after the car wash, it takes several days until the window finally rolls up dry.
  18. I was cleaning my steering wheel with leather cleaner and overdid it. The original color is a shiny brown, the cleaner took off the clear shiny glaze and the brown color leaving a large beige/white section. Anyone know of a way to restore the color and the shine?
  19. tbolen, what do you keep the tire pressure at?
  20. Do the ballasts get really hot? Can I just use adhesive velcro strips?
  21. Does anybody else have this problem? After washing my 92 ES300, and after drying. If I roll down the windows and roll them back up they are all wet again. Seems like the high pressure water spray is forcing water in between the window and the door. Is this just because the bottom window door seal just getting old? Any fix for this?
  22. I've tried the original Armor All on the rubber window seals and it seemed to do a pretty good job at rejuvenating the rubber and reduced the wind noise quite a bit.
  23. Why is Armour All such a crappy product?
  24. SK, what brand HID kit did you use, where did you get it and for how much? I was on autotoys.com and there are many different types and temperatures, 6000K,7000K,8000K,8500K. Is it worth it to spend more for a better brand? Also where did you mount the ballasts?
  25. Has anyone tried to install a HID conversion kit on a 92-96 ES300?
