Go to Advance Auto Parts, they test batteries for free. As for the Drive light I'm pretty sure that is related to a bad bulb, not the battery.

I know what you are talking about restor, that does happen in some cars. I am not sure if it is suppose to do it in the LS430, and what years. I would say the best way to find out, is just try it.

Yeah, I would get a volt meter and test the battery terminals. First with the car on, then with the car off.

The dealers just use the permatex type stuff as a gasket for the 1uzfe.
