  1. If you do this you might get another few 10ths of a second....

    Remove the interior.

    Remove seats.

    Remove unused wiring.

    Remove carpets.

    Remove sound deadening material.

    Remove underseal material.

    Remove windows.

    Remove fenders.

    Remove hood and trunk.

Of course remove the spare tire.

For each pound you remove you will gain speed.

Good luck. Hope it helps. I guarantee you will impress your friends.

You'll either be one of the shortest lived new member or you will entertain us for a long time.

Take our advise and don't mess up that car and kill someone in the process. Walking away from a foolish race/bet shows who the better person is.

Good luck and look out Ohio !

You mean to tell us that when your new "dry" toilets flush "it" goes straight down ?... no swirl ? Briliant !! What will the Aussies think of next ?! I hate those water saving toilets. Thank God I have a older house with nice big tanks.

By the way I'm sorry about Steve Irwin, the Croc Hunter. He was a much loved figure here in the States. My wife and I will miss him.

Welcome. They sure are nice cars aren't they. Regarding the brochure... my guess is best to find one from the Lexus dealer down there... the "language" might be different. :P

    Good luck. Geo

P.S. By the way which way when flushed does the toilet water cirlce down there ?

  5. OK. 2001 ES300. The temp needle is not moving. It just lays there. No overheating, no codes no problems. Everything else works great. I called the dealer and he told me start by checking the fuses, that there was a dedicated one for the temp gauge. Is this true ? I can only find the location for a general gauge fuse. Anyone know where that fuse is ? Geo

  6. Interesting how a little thing can make such a big difference.

When I was looking at several ES's on the lot those bright clear leneses just finishes the car. I was not looking to spend more but did just because the elegant way the lenses and other things (black color) made the car look I did.

  7. snuggle: Thanks.

Pebble Beach is beautiful and would be heaven if I had money !!! That place has got to be the most expensive places around. The houses, the food (we picnic), etc. Strangely enough there are tons of houses for sale in the place.

I don't play golf. Never understood the fascination of hitting and chasing a little ball on green carpet.

  8. SW: The car runs smooth as silk. No heating issues. No warning lights or the such. Would not a thermostat problem show up as a issue ? Could it be a sensor (if it has one ) ? Any other ideas ? I'd like not to sound like a imbecile when I take it in to lexus. George

  9. 2001 ES300.

I just noticed (wifes car) that while driving the temperature gauge/needle does not move at all. I have driven it for 6 hours straight and the needle stays right at the bottom. No movement whatsoever. I know this can't be right since most cars the needle goes to mid range and goes up and down as you drive.

What do I tell the tech to check ?

    Thanks, George
