  1. that cost is good if its a remanufactured or new ecu but a used ecu should go for 300-400 so labor should only be 75 bucks for installation i bet they are throwing some diagnostics in there if its a used ecu.
  2. 1992 sc300 car number 700? something i dont remember my car has been really rode hard. i had to get the seats and arm rest recoverd i had to replace the trans the computer keeps going out on me had to replace the steering rack bushings, the clutch fan(wired in electric) shocks all four, timing belt and waterpump ,radiator, tune up, kncock sensor, the temp control head lcd , power steering lines, and several other various anti theft items and the paint is totally messed up so my experience has not been a good one, i had dreams of little polishing and a few repairs I GOT THE MONEY PIT!!!
  3. what numbers are on the computer? price is fair. do you have a ebay name. pay pal?
  4. i am very interested in the ecu. how much shipped to 35215 was it a automatic? what was production date

  7. well i have replaced the ecu/ect and all is fine now suprised no one chimed in. oh well
  8. you check thye codes by jumping e1 and te1 on either diagnostic port turn key on count the flashes just wait till the ecu is right the ecu controls everything ..almost put my new ect/ecu tonight and was amazed!!!!! the whole car came alive and fast as ever no wierd stuff happening. and for only 75 bucks
  9. i have a 92 sc 300 the car keeps going into "Limp in mode" and the check engine light stays on I jump the e1 and te1 on the diagnostic port and no code, no flash only the engine light stays on I jump e1 and te2 for run diagnostic no code, no flash some times i can leave the efi relay out over night and it will run like normal but, the trac light and trac off light is on check engine is on and it gives me a code 55 which is rear knock sensor but replaced that and check all wiring no change it will still just go in "limp in mode" randomly Any help appreciated while im on the topic. why would toyota do something so stupid as put a Limp mode on a vehicle i am damaging my car more because of this limp mode than what ever problem is causing the car to do it thank god for obd2 . i wish i would have gotten a ob2 car. i have technology to read ,interact and stream sensor data on obd2. but this obd1 toyota tech. NO. my buddies......NO ....other shops i know people.....NO so my only two options are to spend the $600 to add tech no my systemor pay the dealer to make there guess. i wish they would just let me loose in there shop with thier technology.........i wouldnt do it either though....hmm i guess i am ranting
