  1. OUCH 300!? I just stopped by my friends shop and would charge me $130 for the labor (2 mounts and the right axle). Good deal! I'm still trying to figure out how to do it myself though. I think I'm making it more complicated than it actually is. Thanks again for the help BoaR. Wish me luck!
  2. BoaR, You mentioned that you replaced 2 broken mounts on your '95. Is it possible to replace the mounts yourself or would it be easier to take it to a mechanic with a lift? It looks like I have to replace my front and rear mount (both sphere shaped) and I wanted to save some money by replacing them myself. Thanks again in advance for the help!
  3. Thanks a lot BoaR! I had a friend run the engine while pressing on the breaks and it looks like I have another busted mount. I'll be checking the other two this weekend. Thanks again!
  4. Hey guys, I recently changed the right side torque motor mount since it recently failed on me. I notice that there is also a front motor mount, but are there any other mounts that I may be missing? Thank you in advance for the help!
  5. Hey everyone, I've recently been having some problems with my transmission. Once I start the car and put it into drive, the transmission would hesitate and the gears would not shift smoothly. The car would jerk a few times until I actually let go of the gas. The car would shift smoothly after this has happened. There has been no problem with shifting when stopping at stop lights and accelerating. This problem usually occurs each time I first start the car. The car had absolutely no other issues other than this and I was wondering what could probably be causing this to happen? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
  6. I wanted to find a way to give my car a wider stance and to fill out the wheel wells for a better look. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with wheel spacers? What brand to use and what size would best fill out the wells on a 95 es300 with stock tires? I did some research and if I do plan to do this mod, I will go with hub-centric design over the plates which is a lot safer. I'm just not sure which size to go for. Again, any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys.
  7. I'm planning on repainting my front bumper due to a few scratches and dings and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good paint shop in the Bay Area of California. Any place that does a good job at a reasonable price is greatly appreciated. Also, this will be my first time getting a repaint so is there anything I should look out for when searching for a paint shop? Thanks in advance!
  8. If you guys ever need a headlight restoration in the bay area, check this guy out because he just did a beautiful job on my headlights. All the oxidation and yellow haze is gone and my headlights are crystal clear! He also does an awesome job with auto detailing so if you're interested I highly recommend him. 9. 1995 Lexus ES300 1 previous owner bought it for $5200 at a nearby Toyota dealership. Been a happy owner for about 2 years and haven't had any major problems with the car yet. *knocks on wood*. The only problem that I could think of right now is the knocking sound in the rear suspension that sounds like a bunch of basketballs bouncing around in the trunk. I will be looking into that soon. Routine maintenance on the engine is done independently in my very own garage. So far no major mods. Recently got my windows tinted 35% front windows and 20% rear window. Hoping to save up some moola for an HID retrofit in the future. :P :P
  10. I bought my dark green 1995 ES300 about 2 years ago with 139,000 mileage and it was definitely an excellent buy. It only had one previous owner who kept it in great shape. Lovin the car each and everytime I step into it!! :D :D
