  1. Hello once again people. I'm thinkin about selling my 20's because I found some 19's that are hella nice. My question is... do you think these will fit without sticking out from the fender, etc? Front: 19x8.5 (2"lip) 35offset Rear: 19x9.5 (3 3/4 lip) 35 offset
  2. well here's the update. I dont have pics but you wouldnt want to see the BS I went thru! Lets see.....I had to get a chain wrench, a balancer pulley and a big breaker bar to get to my timing belt. Turns out my timing was off by 15 degrees!!! Whoever had the car before me had a new timing belt and water pump put on, which is good for me but they could have set the timing right. I fixed all that and now no CEL and I really feel the power like I'm suppose to...YESSSS Oh yea...The antifreeze was a dingy greenish/brown Reminded me of some puke.... I'm going to change over all my fluids to Royal Purple.....I do this in all my car and you would be surprised at how your car responds... Until then.....
  3. They are not "wayyy too big" and you will not have "MANY flats" . As wit any wheel and tire on a tuner...dont go diving into potholes. I have 20's on mine with NO problems. check out my post http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=27766
  4. ok. The HKS and Greddy belts are high! So I'll just set the timing on a day off and go from there.
  5. Well when I get some extra time I will get a new timing belt and reset the timing. I want to get a HKS timing belt but I'll just get one from Toyota.
  6. Ok...so next question. How do I set the timing on this car....I'm used to Honda's so this is new to me bro.
  7. I'll get the code from Autozone tonight because he is closed on weekends. It runs ok. When I first start the car and drive...if I get on the gas it wont shift out correctly but if I do it like mid throttle or low it will. at a 30mph roll or so...if I punch it, its hesitates...
  8. I took my car to AutoZone (Its cheap) to check out a CEL. It said I had a timing issue and to replace the camshaft sensor was probably bad. I'm a Turbo Honda Builder so this is my first Toyota..:) Anywho...I replaced the sensor which was hell but I found out how to do it..haha. Reset the engine light and everything. Drove the car and it came back on I had it checked again and at my friends import shop in town. SAME THING AGAIN. So my thing its what's wrong? Maybe timing? If so How do I set it....like a "how to" also I heard there's a crankshaft sesnor as well. What do you think.... Smooth feel free to hand over some knowledge please. lol B)
  9. im Looking at getting 20's for my 01 is300 and it looks great on your car. just wanna make sure before i drop 2 grand on them that they dont rub ? and was there anything that had to be done for it not to rub????? I have not done any mods to the suspension and all interior is still in car. I just purchased the wheels and tires and put them on straight out the box. I only had the car for a month at the time
  10. I have 20's on my IS300 now. LOL. All these dudes on here talk to much about what they dont know, I see. 20x7.5 Chrome Wheels 35 offset 225/30/20 tires No rubs, can turn the full radius Still burn rubber...NO COMPLAINTS.....ONLY COMPLIMENTS. I'm still going to get some 18's for racing.
  11. I agree. I thought the same but its an ok location. ONce you look at it a couple of times its golden. When chicks ride on the side they love it. :) BROWNIE POINTS. LOL
  12. I have a kit and harness for the is300. I bought it from a guy on eBay but he took forever to send it. I ended up finding a kit around town and after looking under my dash i found out that the previous owner had already bypassed my amp and it had a remote start/keyless entry system so I didnt need a harness. So now I have the harness and kit if you're interested still in the box.
  13. I suggest an alarm! lol
  14. I found this on on the net....its NOT mine. 20x8 (42offset) Motegi DP-1 Black w/polished lip Nitto NeoGen 225/30/20
  15. I'LL HAVE MY 20'S BY WEDNESDAY. I ORDERED 20X7.5 WITH A 35/38 OFFSET...CANT REMEMBER. I'LL POST PICS TOO. MY FRIEND HAD 20X7.5 ON HIS 96 CAMRY (THEY HAVE SIMILAR SUSPENSION) AND IT DIDNT RUB OR ANYTHING. I RECENTLY MOVED AND IN THE AREA I LIVE NOW THERE'S A GUY WITH 22'S ON A 96 CAMRY WITH NO SUSPENSION MODS AND HE ADVISED THAT HE HAS NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS....ITS ALL ABOUT SELECTING THE RIGHT TIRES AND THE CORRECT WIDTH. FOR THE FRONT TO CLEAR YOU WOULD HAVE TO GET 7.5 AND YOU COULD MAYBE GO 8.5 ON REAR....BUT I WOULDNT PUSH IT WITH 20'S.
  16. YOU CAN GO 20X7.5 WITH A 42/45 OFFSET. THEY WILL FIT NO PROBLEM. PLUS 20'S ARE CHEAPER AND EASIER TO RESALE.
