  5. what is a good tire brand to use on a 2002 gs 300 sports design
  6. Sure you can. The Lexus website shows 215/60-16 tires as standard on the 02 GS300: http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/2002/2002GSspecs.pdf It also shows 225/55-16 all season tires as optional on the 02 GS430. There is no reason good you can't used the same 225/55-16 tire size that came on the GS430 on your GS300. If your speedometer is accurate with 215/60-16 tires, it will read 1.584% too fast with 225/55-16 tires. If your speedometer is accurate with 215/60-16 tires, it will read 0.075% too fast (virtually dead-on accurate) with 235/55-16 tires. If keeping your speedometer reading the same is important, when staying with the same wheel size (16") and going to a "+0" setup, one increases the section width by two sizes (to 235) and reduces the profile by one size (to 55). You can view the effects of different tire sizes at http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp If your car has the navigation system, you can probably see your true speed our your car by looking at the speedometer on it. The handheld GPS I used for hiking is surprisingly accurate for showing vehicle speed -- at least the speed it shows matches the aftermarket Magellan GPS I use in my car which is about 2-3 mph slower than what my car's speedometer says at 70 mph with new OEM size tires. thanks alot
  7. Can i use 225 55 16 on my gs 300 2002 sport design
  8. While driving car pulls to the right slightly after 20 feet i own a 2002 gs 300 sport edition the dealer changed the caliper on the right side, both ball joints were changed. strauss, firestone, and the dealer did an alignment i changed the tires i have directional tires on the car don't know if this is a problem rotors are only 6 months brakes are ok no noise had 3 different guys check it out they can't find anything and the dealer told me they can't find any thing but when i'm driving the car slowly drifts to the right, the car has never been hit. While car was on the lift we shaked the tires no movement bearing turning ok I dont know if the caliper on the left side has anything to do with it since it hasn't been changed or the tires. Any advice would be appreciated thanks for taking your time to read about this problem if any question just ask and i will get back to you thanks.
  9. I use Continental ContiExtreme Contact Size: 225/55VR16 (Ultra High Performance All-Season) Serv. Desc: 94V I own a 2002 gs 300 sports design and i like these tires cost $85 at tirerack.com or you can look around for them
  10. I think its the tires these cars run very well but if you have bad tires they will make noise and you may think its the bearings or caliper brakes or rotors use factory recommended tire size and rims and you will save your money.
  11. This is what you need to check i own a 97 es 300 and 2002 gs 300 one of the bulbs you put in the rear of the car is the wrong size bulb and this is why the light may stay on check your manuals and then check the most recent bulbs you changed it happened to me with my es 300. peace out
  12. Went thru my credit union gave me 5.20 rate 2002 gs 300 i pay $58.00 a week straight out my check
  13. Go to lexus-parts.com and give them your vin number insurance and ID order MASTER OR ANY OTHER key take key to dealership or you can program key yourself. I heard people say that you can do it yourself just google program lexus key I'm sure u can find it. good luck If you dont have a master key you have to get the ecu flashed i think or something of that nature a locksmith can do it to i paid $150 at dealership to locksmith gave me prices from $185-$289 for me it was better at dealer. i own a 2002 gs 300 i had no master key and this is what i did. when you get the key from lexus-parts.com it will open all the locks on your vehicle but will not start it, if you have a master key already it will cost you about $60 at dealer to program i think Call your local dealership first to find out if they can do this procedure.
  14. Which it? The pedal or the brakes stay on? If it is the pedal check your return spring. If is the brakes you have a caliper sticking. Does your car pull to one side or the other? BP yep. I agree, if the brake sticks its the caliper. rebuild it or buy new/remanufactured one for about $55.00 Sorry about the info its the brake pedal thanks for the info someone was telling me its the master cylinder i will check the caliper
  15. When i step on my brakes and then release the pedal it sticks can anyone let me know whats the problem. gs 300 2002 thanks
  16. Try lexus-parts.com order the key and then go to your local dealership and get it programed or program it yourself i don't know how your key is but thats what i did.
