Has anyone changed the station on their XM radio, and the audio goes in and out... on every station... if you change to a different audio source and come back the XM radio doesnt' work at all.. you have to restart the vehicle before it will work again?

THe only way to override the 7.1 is to cut the wires, and run it to a switch to deactivate the VSS Switch. Any audio installer could do it for you. If done clean, the dealer will never notice it.

Has anyone seen the black sensor under the 3rd / rear brake light? IT looks like a camera, but the rear camera is near the license plate.. What is that thing? Michael

Great find..... that trick doesn't work on 07 or 08 models. They've changed the firmware.

No $400 cable to buy. I watched them during the whole process. They respected my vehicle with careful removal of parts, towels and mats while they were in the car and most important, NOW I CAN USE MY CAR to it's full potential! This was an awesome fix...... it WORKS Flawlessly.

Lexus hired Rolling Audio to install the VAIS integration. I didn't like it because it only let's you play from a playlist. I am also Hacked off b/c you cannot browse through folders b/c the motion/safety lock out. Here are some pics of the DICE module. This is in "Mp3" mode. I am taking it out, and putting it in Satellite mode tomorrow.. We also had issues with the DVD Bypass, as it doesn't appear to work on the 08 GS350. I will find out soon, for sure. The DVD Bypass Posts do not directly answer whether it has been tested on an 08.

I would also like if the Audio screen was default rather then the map. Is that possible? Yes, click info, then display settings. At the top of the screen select NO.

My Friend Neil @ Rolling Audio in Sac just picked up my GS350 and will be installing the DICE, and performing the DVD Bypass. We'll see what it does... I can hardly wait.

The dealer hired a local audio installer in put in the VAIS system. The installer has been very helpful in troubleshooting the issues and has offered to remove the faulty and poorly designed VAIS, and install the Dice Electronics "Silver Line" model.

After having the dealer install the VAIS IPOD Integration in my 08 GS350 and my 08 RX 350, I'm having it removed. You can only play music on the playlist, sometimes the brain on the VAIS will not play and sends you to the beginning of your playlist (really frustrating when you listen to pod casts) and of course, the NOT Popular Motion Lockout. I'm having my installer research how to prevent the car from disabling the controls while the car is in motion.

I was actually TOLD by the sales person that it was available. It wasn't until I got the car back from having the XM installed, that I found out it only came on the LS. Now I'm trying to find an aftermarket product that gives me traffic.

After spending 1500 per car for Satellite radio, I found out neither XM or Sirius is capable of traffic udpates. Has anyone found something that can get traffic info on the Lexus Navigation System?

I had XM installed at the dealer, and I hate the programming, PLUS they told me XM would have traffic. THen after the install was complete, they told me that only the LS had traffic. Now i'm making them install Sirius. They say it's a small hockey puck size antenna. I'll find out for sure this week. And we definately need a 2008 RX and GS350 Forum.
