Greetings, I have 95 LS with 89K. When sitting in the driver's seat I hear what appears to be wind noise coming from the right side of the car. However; when I sit in the passenger's seat, the noise doesn't appear to be coming from the passenger's window or door. My wife also noticed the same sound while driving but doesn't when she is riding in the passenger's seat. She thought it could be coming from the upper portion of the windshield. I checked the weatherstripping on the door and it looks fine. What could this be? Sun roof? Windshield? Is their a known problem with 95s and wind noise? :whistles: H E L P! P L E A S E!!! Any ideas on how to track this down.....

I recently had my timing belt and water pump changed and now the aux fan appears to be on all the time. Before the maintenance, I didn't hear the aux fan running at all. When does the aux fan suppose to run? Thanks ...

VMF ... For starters, I would like to purchase a set of MTEC hi/lo/fog bulbs from ebay. Not sure which to buy. Are these 3 separate pairs of bulbs or are the hi/lo one pair of bulbs? Greetings, I want to replace ALL of my front end lights with newer brighter Xenon bulbs. This includes installing clear lenses for turning and side markers. I would like to use the parking lights as daytime running lights if possible. Can some list the replacement parts for each bulb? Example: Head Light Hi Beam - Sylvania Silverstar 9005ST - MTEC ??? Just went through the same ordeal. Check out the link below. It helped me with my decision. Also check to see if the 90K service has been performed. If not, that's an extra $1,400.00 at the dealer! I purchased a 95 LS with 89K miles for $11,900. The car had been religously serviced at the dealer until the 82K mile mark. Congrats! I know what you went through. I just picked up my first LS on Tuesday. You got an excellant deal. I paid $11,900 for a 95 with 89K miles. I have been driving a Benz for the past 10 years. Before finding this forum, I was deciding bettween a BMW 740iL or MB 420S. Due to the excellant reliability ratings, I stared to look more closely at the LS. I'm glad I did! The LS ride is as smooth as silk. I am quite sure my next car will be a 430.

I called Johnson Lexus and they wanted $1,400 for the 90K service which doesn't include a new water pump.

I purchased my first Lexus LS today from a private owner. The 112 mile ride home was sweet! Set the cruise at 75 and enjoyed the bright sunny day. According to my calculations, I am getting 28 MPG. I did notice wind noise coming from the passenger's side. Could it be a door seal? Presently, there is a fowl owder in the car similiar to oven cleaner. Could this be a filter that needs to be replaced. I would like to thank the members of this forum for the wealth of information that you have given me during my search for a LS. Looking for a good mechanic to perform 90K service on a 95 LS400. Thanks In Advance!!!

I am looking at a 95 LS with 89K miles on it. The car looks and sounds great. I would be the fourth owner. The present owner has replaced the catalytic converter and gas tank. The car passed all of the Autocheck checks. Question: How can you tell if the car has air suspension and trackion control? I realize that the 90K service is soon due. How long can one go without changing the timing belt and water pump? Is there anything else that I should be concerned about? Does anyone know of a good 3rd party repair shop in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area? Thanks In Advance!

What type of interior mods are available for a 1995 LS? Gear shift? Wood panels? Steering Wheel? What type of mods are available for the head and tail lights? Do you have replace the head light lenses to install HIDs or is it plug and pray!! Thanks

:( 1998 81k miles from Dealer total cost $20.6 Pearl White exterior with Gold emblem on rims and trunk, tan interior,CD/Changer, complete service records, wood steering wheel, sunroof, ps, pw. Excellant condition inside and out (like new!) 1999 79k miles private seller, total cost $22.5 Silver exterior with gray interior, Nav, Heated Seats, CD/Changer, sunroof, complete service records, new tires, small ding on door from shopping cart, minor scratch on rear passinger seat (must look very hard to notice). Warranty until 100K. Recently serviced ... ($1000.00) Both are local cars serviced by the same dealer. Plan to the keep the car a couple years and purchase 02 430. Thanks, In Advance!!

Greetings, I have located several 96-97 LS400 with an average of 126K miles going between $12.5 and $13.9. These cars appear to be good shape but do not have full maintenance records. None of these cars have Nav or CD players. What are some of the key items that should have been replaced? Is it worth it to purchase a 3rd party extended warranty? If so, your recommendation. Is it hard to add a Nav or CD & Changer system to a 96-98 model? Where can you purchase the units?
