  1. I have spent over an hour trying to change my password. Can somebody tell me where to go to change my password?
  2. Hello fellow Lexus Owners. Here's the deal! I purchased a used key-fob on e-bay with the same FCC#'s as the original. Downloaded the programming instructions. Now, before I mess up everything (can anyone tell me if I go thru the programming steps) does the new(used)key fob change the program on the vehicle or does the key-fob get programed from the vehicle? You see, I still have one of the original fob's that's working just fine. Just wanted a spare for security purposes. Thank everyone.
  3. On my 1997 ES300 it's 19 7/8. Thanks a million gld98682 for that information!!!! I will check it out.
  4. I guess I'm just plainly ignorant or something. I can't get anywheres with this site or downloading a repair manual for my 1997 ES300. Read all the topicas and tried downloadinf the Upgrade@winzip.com and that failed as well. Any help would be wonderful. I would even pay for someone to burn the repair manual for the 97 ES300 and send it to me. :chairshot: Thanks in advance, Vern
  5. I'm lost!!!! Downloaded the repair manual for the "97" ES300 to a document. When I opened it there was lots of PDF files but I can't open them. why?

I was hoping to get some answers about a 97 ES300 but can't navigate this site worth a crap. Not my favorite thats for sure.

  10. I posted this question already with no answers! I have a "97" ES300 with 209,342 miles. I recently changed the tranny fluids and the diff. and it calls for just shy of 4 qts. for both. After putting the fluids back and running it to warm it up, it shows a qt. low. I'm wondering if I have the correct dip stick? I don't want to overfill it and possibly blow some seals ect. Could anyone who knows that they have the factory dip stick Please measure the metal portion of the tranny stick and tell me the lenght? In other words from the end of the dipstick to the plastic handle. There is no part # or any info on the stick and the local dealer did not have one in stock to make a comparrison. I went with what the dealer told me and put 4 qts in and left it at that until I know for sure. For those doing there own change of fluids, there is two drain points on my 97. One for the transmission and one for the differential. One fill tube for both the tranny and diff.
  11. I recently changed the transmission fluid in a "97" ES300. The dealer told me that it took 4 qts. of fluid. I put 4 qts. into the tranny and ran it to get it warm so I could check it. Upon checking the dip stick it read a qt. low on the stick. My question is a simple one, could anyone measure the lenght of there tranny dip stick so I would have a reference to the correct lenght? Measure from the bottom of the stick to the plastic handle. (the metal portion only) I have an idea that mine is not the original one. Thanks in advance for your help.
  12. One Word of advise, "CarFax" Could have come from a flood zone, or some other disaster. $25.00 investment could save alot of problems down the road, and you can check any amount of vehicles for 30 days. Well worth the money, especially if your buying from out of state or out of your hometown. Good Luck with your purchase.
  13. After reading several post, I have a question on programming. I have the original key fob and it works fine, and I just bought one on ebay with the same FCC#'s. I read that when you go thru the programming procedures you actually program the vehicle-not the key fob!!!! Is this the case? I don't want to mess up the original. I bought this one for backup purposes in case of a loss or stolen situation. Now, for the programming!!! I would appreciate a scanned copy of how to program this new fob. It could be e-mailed to fittvr@yahoo.com Thanks in advance for your help. Oh by the way it's for a 1997 ES300 with 209,342 miles and doesn't smoke a bit.
