I don't know where it is on that vehicle, but I can suggest you look at the inake and find the wires that come out there. One of them has got to be for the IAT.
Damn glad I didnt see your pic late at night...frickin' frightening!

Does ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO INSTALLL A PERFORMANCE CHIP ?? bastaradssss forgot to send the Instructionnn
I want more info on the chip...how much more hp and what are the drawbacks (other than warranty issues if discovered.)
-
the stickers are just warning signs thats these have the theft kit. Which lets them know move onto to the next one. Plus the parts are also marked with vin#s making them hard to sell.
Thanks for the info, glad I'm going to proceed with this install.

its worth it. Basically a bolt and a sticker. Very tough to get them out now. They definitely wont have time for 2. Plus there parts are marked and harder to re-sell.
What is to stop thieves from peeling off the stickers?

Lexus ordered my HID kit. Car going in for its 30K service, the HID theft deterants install, and a detail (following day most likely, as I dont think they will have time to do it all in one day/nor would I want them to rush a detail) next week.
-
Got mine March 04' after an apx 7 week wait from time of order. Was slated for a February 2, 2004 buildout, but then it sat on the lot for two days because they couldnt find it/didnt realize it was already delivered....WTF?
2004 RX 330 - Neptune Blue Mica, Ivort Int, wood package, NAV, HID, Package C

I get in the low 20's as well (straight shot of apx 25 miles on highway sans lights to work)
-
I saw a cure for that in another forum. I think there is a workaround for the 2004 rx330 nav system.
Found the thread on page 3...thanks! Cant wait to try it!
-
and what of the 2004 RX 330? It is freaking annoying to have to speed type at lights.
-
Has anyone had the HID theft deterant package installed? Worth the bother? Drawbacks?
-
with your tool kit usually
Would stand to reason...guess I should check it (unlike my old cars wherein I used to chuck it in the glove box) ;)
-
Considering that included tires and brakes, $2,000 seems about right (figuring $130 per tire, then add balancing and stems, and four wheel discs at prob $275-$300 per axel plus $600+ for the 30K servicing (assuming, again, that this is a normal fee?????)
My tires are fine, and had my brakes checked at the beginning of summer and was told I had 70-75% of the meat left on them by another Lexus dealership in DE.

Where do they store an owner's key(RX 330)? I've never had to look for it, and dont want to get caught with my pants down searching throughout the car for it.
-
How much (North East) does this servicing generally run? Is $660 reasonable?

Get a bluettoth earpeice ,they are way bettter than an incar system.
Concur. I use the Jabra earpiece. Takes apx 30 seconds to link with my cell phone (of course, must have a bluetooth cell.) Extremely lightweight and comfortable, AND I can use my voice dial features/auto-answer via set up on my phone. Apx $125 (but got mine for $30 as my hubby was an AT&T Dayton, NJ corp manager at the time of purchase.)

Hey everybody, just wanted to get the traffic moving a little bit in the detailing forum.
I wanted to start this thread up and give everyone a place to share those little tricks of the trade they've picked up over the years. Please, post away!
Blower is good for pre-vacuuming ease too...open the doors and blow her out first. (could apply to sexual foreplay too...let us know.)

Unlisted's post addressed this issue for me...it all clicked with me when he mentioned a glove box cut off switch. Considering that my car also had the glove box door replaced while getting the 15k mile servicing, it stood to reason that they had accidently depressed same while removing or installing the new door.
Thanks Unlisted!

Any ideas? Power Hatch button in car not responding nor is the button on the key fob. Does this need to be reset? How does one go about doing this?
-
Just looks odd...It would, at the very least, look more uniform to have some sort of a purple cast or white light (non HID, cause we wouldn't want to blind on coming cars OF COURSE) rather than the the nasty yellow cast of the bulbs in there now.
Just my opinion, yours may differ.
-
Are the high beams supposed to be yellow/standard bulbs and the regular beams the HID/purple casted bulbs?
Looks so odd having two different tint bulbs, and was wondering if this is factory set up.

Have only owned the car since Saturday, thus I was not aware of this dual mode of which you speak. Must have accidentally hit the compass moniker and flipped the orientation. Thanks. Perhaps I will take the time to pop in my PC CD to learn more on the operation of this gaget.

What impressed me was the handicapped swivel out chair... most ingenious. Hats off to the Fabulous industrial designers at Toyota!
Had some trouble navigating this site however (much still showed in Japanese despite microsoft english translation download.) Can some one post the bookmark for the coin holder?
Thanks~

May have experienced this myself going over a bridge this weekend...I too was running, but erroneously, in the manual 4th mode (unbeknownst to me).
Can anyone concisely explain this mode to me...towing related I assume?

I do not find my 18"'s to be overtly noisy...but then again, compared to the 20" tires on the rental FX I had for the past two months, anything seems quiet.
Sound aside, they really should offer something larger than the 18" inch...they look so tiny in that big ole' wheel well.
