  1. the stickers are just warning signs  thats these have the theft kit. Which lets them know move onto to the next one. Plus the parts are also marked with vin#s making them hard to sell.

Thanks for the info, glad I'm going to proceed with this install.

  2. Lexus ordered my HID kit. Car going in for its 30K service, the HID theft deterants install, and a detail (following day most likely, as I dont think they will have time to do it all in one day/nor would I want them to rush a detail) next week.

  3. Got mine March 04' after an apx 7 week wait from time of order. Was slated for a February 2, 2004 buildout, but then it sat on the lot for two days because they couldnt find it/didnt realize it was already delivered....WTF?

  4. Considering that included tires and brakes, $2,000 seems about right (figuring $130 per tire, then add balancing and stems, and four wheel discs at prob $275-$300 per axel plus $600+ for the 30K servicing (assuming, again, that this is a normal fee?????)

My tires are fine, and had my brakes checked at the beginning of summer and was told I had 70-75% of the meat left on them by another Lexus dealership in DE.

  5. Get a bluettoth earpeice ,they are way bettter than an incar system.

Concur. I use the Jabra earpiece. Takes apx 30 seconds to link with my cell phone (of course, must have a bluetooth cell.) Extremely lightweight and comfortable, AND I can use my voice dial features/auto-answer via set up on my phone. Apx $125 (but got mine for $30 as my hubby was an AT&T Dayton, NJ corp manager at the time of purchase.)

  6. Hey everybody, just wanted to get the traffic moving a little bit in the detailing forum.

I wanted to start this thread up and give everyone a place to share those little tricks of the trade they've picked up over the years. Please, post away!

Blower is good for pre-vacuuming ease too...open the doors and blow her out first. (could apply to sexual foreplay too...let us know.)

  7. Just looks odd...It would, at the very least, look more uniform to have some sort of a purple cast or white light (non HID, cause we wouldn't want to blind on coming cars OF COURSE) rather than the the nasty yellow cast of the bulbs in there now.

Just my opinion, yours may differ.

  8. Have only owned the car since Saturday, thus I was not aware of this dual mode of which you speak. Must have accidentally hit the compass moniker and flipped the orientation. Thanks. Perhaps I will take the time to pop in my PC CD to learn more on the operation of this gaget.

  9. What impressed me was the handicapped swivel out chair... most ingenious. Hats off to the Fabulous industrial designers at Toyota!

Had some trouble navigating this site however (much still showed in Japanese despite microsoft english translation download.) Can some one post the bookmark for the coin holder?

    Thanks~

  10. I do not find my 18"'s to be overtly noisy...but then again, compared to the 20" tires on the rental FX I had for the past two months, anything seems quiet.

Sound aside, they really should offer something larger than the 18" inch...they look so tiny in that big ole' wheel well.
