Everyone who is modding their car should learn to do this and do it periodically after lots of "stop and go" driving. It really makes a difference on my 93 everytime I do it.

Nice Mike. As for lowering, last I heard, MrSypher has Tein Flex coilovers.

And I will stay with the Flex's.. I was contemplating going with airbags but I don't want to lose my cornering.. It handles like it's on rails..

I read a reply of yours a min. ago about GS HID conversions. What would I need to convert my 99 GS300 to HID if I did not want the auto leveling? Would I only need the computer that goes on the bottom of the light with obviously the lights and such?

That's easy.. You can go with a D2R 9006 plug & play conversion kit.. The kit includes bulbs and ballasts..

After it's completed I'll post pics of the front and back..

So the general consensus is reset your ECU after engine mods? I have an intake system and aftermarket exhaust. the car flies but has the same hesitaiton issue. does the dealership charge to reset the ECU?

I'm in VA, and a guy from Ziebart told me he have to do a cut-around the 3rd break light to make it legal and pass state inspection. I know this will look ugly. Does this sound right? I also have brake light on my oem type spoiler.

Maybe in VA you might have to cut around it but since you already have a brake light on the spoiler there's no need to cut it...

Alrighty.. You run 9006 bulbs for your lowbeams and since you have projector lights you'll need D2S bulbs.. So that's "D2S" 9006 bulbs..

In addition to the L-sportline and JP, there is also the ones from Tom's and DSR. One of my favs is the UGO but production has stopped on these.

yes, but I'm referring to the roof spoilers I can obtain. Like for me, I have the Ugo Katayama roof spoiler but I can't get my hands on them..

Thanks for the replies. mysypher, there are philips ultinons for around 400 i think on ebay.. should those be trusted? Also, i'm unsure what I have on my car (projector or reflector), but it is whatever stock 94 gs300's have. if someone knows, please tell me. Thanks

With the HID's from Ebay, it's not the HID kits that can't be trusted.. It's the sellers.. But I know alot of people who have bought HID's from ebay and everything is fine.. So with that, don't sweat it you'll be fine.. Just make sure you specify what you need.. As for size and bulb type, I told you what I know.. Maybe someone who knows for sure can chime in..

300 is a good price for a regualr plug and play kit no wiring

$300. is rather on the cheaper side.. A good price for some quality zenons is around $400.-$500. for lights and Ballasts. I just bought another set of Philips Ultinon's 6000K for my foglights and they ran me about $600. with shipping.. Also, you have projection headlights, right?? With those you need D2S bulbs, those are for Projection housings.. For the reflective housings you'd use D2R bulbs.. Now that's just the type of bulb, you'd still need to figure out what size.. The 2nd gen GS's use 9006, I'm not sure what size your's will be..

I just bought a 98 gs300 and went to best buy and circuit city to buy audio products such as speakers and radio. Heres the deal...according to the techs, 6.5 speakers wont fit in the car...apparently, they are to big and they wont fit even though the store computer said that 6.5 goes into that car. we didnt test it out, he just assumed that they wont...i guess hes worked on these cars before. so the guy said i might have to go with 4'' speakers all the way around (front and rear). Than he said that they wont even touch it because its a pain to take out the door panels to install speakers. 2nd problem- he said the car has a factory amp and that it has to be re-wired in order to install a new aftermarket 4 channel amp.

Has anyone had trouble installing a aftermarket system? Do 6.5 speakers fit into these cars or do they have to be custom done? What about adding a 4 channel amp? one more question....where do i get the wiring harness? lexus dealer, ebay? if i get a pioneer radio, do i need a pioneer harness or will a universal one due?

The 6.5" speakers can fit in the doors but you have to cut alittle.. So my advice to you is go to a shop where they aren't afraid to do what it takes to get the job done.. When you go to spots like that they don't want to work. Watch, take your car to a real Audio shop and they'll do whatever you want.. Also, you might want to change out your factory amp anyway so you can get the most out of your mids and highs..

Thanks.. And the sound it makes is really nice I have to agree.. Everything out there is starting to come together now.. I just had the fences finished and today I had the landscapers start dropping some topsoil around the boulders so we can start planting on Monday..

my inside is grey and my out side is silver, what will be a shade difference from 35% i think you said a shade down.....what percent is that.... so how about 35%front 22% all around is that much difference ???? i dont know :(

If you know of a shop around you where you'll get it done at just drive over there and check out what they have to offer.. Because different shops will carry different tints and it'll most likely depend on who makes what.. Have the guy show you the different %'s on your car and just see what fits you best.. Who knows maybe you'll find something totally different that you'll like.. But keep us post'd I'd like to see what you do.. Takecare.
