  1. I would try changing the microswitches (bit code) of one of the openers, then reprogramming just that one. You might want to remove power to the other working opener (unplug it).
  2. Here's a way to tell if the problem is your phone or your car: Connect to your own (or temporarily borrow someone else's) Bluetooth headset. They never have a microphone volume switch, so connect using that headphone and call someone. Find out if the volume sounds OK, then do the same in the car. The car should actually sound better. Remember, the Lexus microphone is on the roof center console, so don't deliberately talk while looking down or out a side window.
  3. I suspect that is your cell phone, not the car. The car transmits similar to a Bluetooth headset. The adjustment is most likely on the phone, unless there is a mechanical problem with the car, of course.
  4. Just go to any Apple store and ask for it. The cable is simply a 1/8 stereo headphone cable to 1/8 stereo headphone (same on both ends). You can buy it from - Radio Shack - Target - Wal Mart - K Mart Here's a picture and link http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=search
  5. My hats off to the Mark Levinson system for being able to play at least part of that disc. It is very complicated to mix MP3 and WMA on a disc and have them decoded properly for playback. That's why your computer can handle it OK. Make an "MP3" disc, which is different than a data disc with MP3 (or WMA) files on it. Unfortunately, you cannot mix MP3 and WMA to make this disc, as the car won't have the computing power to decode it, and ID3 text (track name, artist, album) will be lost as well. Some software allows MP3 discs to be created using WMA files, but that is because they are converting on-the-fly to MP3. Perhaps you can do this externally? www.goldwave.exe is a great product to convert your files, if you have to do that manually.
  6. True, but I don't always feel like sitting on my keys (in my pocket)!
  7. I have only detected one strange thing that my ES350 does when both keys are inside: We have the rear sunshade, which should retract when the car is shifted into reverse. When both keys are in the car, the shade does not automatically retract. When we drive, we store the keys in the finger-hold portion of the interior door handle. It is very deep, and is lined with a carpet material. When exiting the vehicle, the keys are a natural reminder to pick them up before closing the door.
  8. Seems to be a poor translation from Japanese. Anyway, I've figured out how it works. - In the "Door position OFF/ON" the interior lights will turn on when any door is opened. This will be your normal setting. - In the "ON/OFF" position, the light is simply turned on or off by the switch, regardless of the door.
  9. The "Dial By Name" voice command works, but you have to know a trick, not documented properly in the manual. When editing a phone book entry, use the "next page" button on the bottom-left of your screen. You'll see that you need to train that entry for dial by name. You need to come up with a couple of syllables for these names, like "Jim's cell" rather than just "Jim", for example. Then you say that trained name as a response to "say the name".
  10. I have a 2007 ES 350 with the Mark Levinson Navigation System. My Lexus will not dial using "pause" or "wait", though the screen shows both these characters, along with 0-9. My phone is a Blackberry 8703e . Pause and wait work fine from the phone, of course.
  11. The screen goes blank as soon as the shifter leaves Park. I think this feature is just fine. Note: When in Park, you must actually have the parking brake (emergency brake) on (deployed) for the DVD to display. The quality of DVD playback is very good, and the on-screen menu is brilliant.
  12. Count, Pull over and watch your movie. Or get a room. Or get a portable DVD player. Or get a Nissan.
