  1. omg, same thing happened to me.. I went over a huge bump last night (was unfamiliar with the road) and now I have the "springy sound" almost like springs on a bed... or like the sound of mice? I seriously thought I busted up my right rear shock, but I called up my mechanic and said it was something about bushings? I hope so.....or else there goes another 100 for a new shock. :chairshot:
  2. Wow, a granny owned car is the best... that 92 will last for a very long time to come. B) Good luck on the strut change.
  3. All I can say right now is that $1,600 is way too much... Ask them for a breakdown of the cost.
  4. Ouch... :chairshot: Get yourself your own struts from somewhere else.. Tokico, KYB...etc. Then try and take it to another lower profile shop, that does quality work. Usually you can ask around with people in your community. I had mine changed and it was done in about 2 hours or so... Cheap labor cuz I knew them. Anyway, that's some LOW mileage for a 92, congrats on the purchase!
  5. crap is the :chairshot: best word
  6. It was everyone's first time doing Autocross so I wasn't the least bit ashamed. I beat out a few cars' times.... mostly the junk ones!! and sk, I haven't installed the mirrors yet... I will let you know when I do. Sorry the pm didn't go through.
  7. I did.. hahaha.. This past weekend GRRA (Guam Road Racers Association) held their first autocross practice run at the Guam Raceway Park parking lot. There weren't so many cars, 25 or 30 that showed up... Pretty good turnout considering this club just started out about a month ago. Fastest times of the day were by a Prelude and a S14 240... Consistent 42's and 43's... I was able to hit a 51 on my third try, most took dozens of runs to hit past 45 seconds. :) I really didn't care how fast I went, it was just fun.... Lots of different cars at the meet... 240's, RX-7, 86, Nissan/Toyota trucks (it's a Guam thing), old school Beemers...and more haha, check out the pics of the ES. :P Me and my friend's 01 Maxima whoa.. haha that's me! :P B) More pics here: http://forum.dragguam.com/viewtopic.php?t=516
  8. Yup, you just have to take care of the car... There is someone at my university who has the exact same one as me, but for some reason it looks mucho crappo. Paint is faded and dull... The antenna looks like someone chopped it off, and the tint is bubbled purple? wtf... As long as you take care of your car, then it'll run and look B) for years and years and years.
  9. I'm pretty sure you would be able to do both VHS and DVD... But why would you want VHS?
  10. lol, yea I thought about that... I will be getting new headlights because of my accident, so I'm hoping that I will be able to get the HID's you and sk have. Let's hope.
  11. They don't look that bad on the 92-96... Sorta.
  12. wow...... The other guy's insurance is gonna freak!
  13. Hmmm... It looks like the area near the grill is dented... And the area on top of the headlight is a little pushed in... That's about it too bummed to back and look.
  14. Oh, I might need a new hood? I didn't think I would....I haven't even tried opening it up. haha.. Well, I'm hoping to get a whole new paint job... this is probably the time to do it. oh yea... It was definitely the other guys' fault. I wasn't even in my car.. It was parked. :whistles:
  15. I must be bad luck or something....I got hit this morning..again. I got hit a few months back at the post office from the rear, now it's the front's turn. :thumbdn: I parked my car outside my house at the same time a van was parking... Anyway the deal was that he didn't know I had parked at that certain spot.. and when it was time for him to leave, he assumed no car was there so he reversed into the driver's side front of my car. So now I'm left with paint chips and dents on the hood and bumper.... and WORST OF ALL... my precious black housing headlight is messed up. :( Plastic is all scratched up and the black paint inside chipped. Check out the pics.
  16. Let's just put it this way... a modified 9006 won't fit my car, but a modified 9005 will. What do you search for on Ebay? What keywords... :chairshot:
  17. I have JDM headlights so my low beams are 9006J instead of the regular 9006... 9006J's have the same base as 9005, so they can fit with some cutting of tabs and melting via solder iron of the base locks.. I guess I'll have to stick with halogens for a while....But where can I take a look at those 9005 HID's?
  18. Wow, where can I get a pair? Do they have them for 9005s?
  19. How exactly did you install them? Did you have to go through the whole retrofit deal or did you just plug and play into the current housing?
  20. That means you're gonna be getting rid of the TRD kit? If so, let me know, I will be interested in purchasing them from you.
  21. you can use our gallery for this you know? Or even put your car in our Members Garage ;) The garage was pure genious.... B)
  22. Thanks for the 411 guys... Looks like it will need to done soon! :chairshot:
  23. My sister's check engine light came on on her 95 ES300 a few days ago... We brought it to the dealer today to check it out and they said that the O2 sensor needs replacing. They also went ahead and gave us a quote... $300 for parts and $300 for labor. wtf? Is this a must fix... What happens if we don't have it done right away? Anything else.... :(
