where the hell can i find one for an sc400?
-
Hites, where in Ohio do you live? Also, I think you should call your Big-Wheel trucks friends, "Chicken", and see their reaction. Afterall, what's the point of owning a big-rigg, if you aren't willing to drive it.
kinda north-western, near belle center, which is near kenton, which is near lima. i started to go down the road i mentioned ("cottonwood") and i HAD to turn back; my car simply wouldnt make it all the way through without damaging it. its basically a road thats out in the middle of a muck field and it has never been rarely worked on; the roads about 50-100 years old. no matter what vehicle youre in, id recommend NEVER going over 50mph down that gauntlet. ever seen that commercial where theyre testing the f150's quietness by driving over those raised triangles? its like that but the triangles are are "blob-shaped" and sunk in instead of raised; i exaggerate not.

I need some INFO lookin to buy Rims
ADP 17inch 8.5 Wide
Captiol Tires 245/45/17
$999.99
What you guys think? any one have any thoughts before i buy?
what exactly are you looking for? im guessing you just want aftermarket wheels to say that you have them since youre concerned about ride quality. if you want the "look", 18s are the way to go. wheels dont effect ride quality as much as tires do. ebay has a nice set of wheels going for $650 shipped and theyre also being sold by a company, which is always a big plus: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2468160645
you can then score some tires from the tire rack depending on your taste. end price will be over $1k because of the simple fact that the wheels are 18s.
now if youre looking for something that will get ya to the grocery store quicker, 17s would be my suggestion. the average 17 is lighter than the average 18 (duh!) and everybody knows that you want to reduce rotating mass; rubber weighs less than steel, so we would want more tire than wheel. personally, im looking at a set of 17x7&9 asa ar1's:
wrapped in 245&285/40 kumho ecsta supra 712's
as for "capitol" tires, i have also never heard of them.
-
tein is up at the top, without a doubt. jic cant compare to tein. hell, for my old teg coilovers only cost me $150 and them were quality ones.
-
ny and sanfran roads are bad? HA! i think ill be the judge. i live in an area of ohio where there are some roads that my friends with their jacked up trucks are afraid to travel down. hell, a section of road that travel on daily is currently closed because a chunk of it slid into a drainage ditch the size of a river.

Blew the internal valves on my PS pump on my eclipse, had to be over 2000rpms to get it to turn easily. lol
its isnt effected by rpms, so i dont think thats it.
-
The only other option is to change the Torque Converter to a Stall Converter. This will let the rpm's come up before it engages. It will launch much harder.
level 10 will supe up almost any torque convertor ;).
-
im personally looking at a set of 17x7 and 17x9 asa ar1's wrapped in 245/40 and 285/40 kumho ecsta supra 712's. i dont care that much for ride quality though :).

Have you checked your serpentine belt for tension and wear? - a possiblity....
will do. anything else that might be causing it?
-
whats it doing?
sometimes it will just stop working. when i stop or slow down a lot and then turn it will be very hard to turn. it does this roughly half the time.
-
so its not a leaky pump? the fluid is fine all the time, which begs the question of what the hell is up with my ps pump. is it just faulty?
-
not sure if this is like the usual leaky pump problem, but mine will sometimes stop working and then sometimes work fine. im not sure if its leaking or not, but what are some of the symptoms of a leaky ps pump?
-
couldnt you just send the torque convertor to level 10 to let them work it over?
-
the only aftermarket springs for the sc are eibachs. just go to ebay.

Hites:
I really don't know. Send him an email.
Steve@lextasy.com.
Add a pic and ask him.
no led light, but im just going to go with it because i dont want to fuss with paint or drilling more holes in my trunk.
-
What color is your spoiler? I might want to buy it.
flat black. personally, i think black looks good on any colored car (ie. black hood, black trunk, etc., except for like doors and fenders) because from far away it gives that cf look. if this isnt the color youre looking for, i have a friend of mine who paints cars and he might be able to paint the spoiler any color you like for an extra $50-60.
-
which of the us kits are urethane?
-
*BLEEP* it. im going the economical way and replacing the stock spoiler with blown out led to a cf replica.
-
Have you checked with some of our Authorized Trader--MrSypher, Lextasy, and JDMparts_guru.
If they don't have it, let me know. I have a couple of sources.
does the cf spoiler on lextasy.com come with an led light?
-
finally found the damn spoiler ive been looking for. its the trd spoiler for the supra, yet i cant find a single place to buy one. so... anybody know where i can find a store that sells trd supra spoilers? will the spoiler even fit correctly?
-
this scam is old news. its just the reverse of the "foreigner paying more than advertised price so you can return the extra cash" scam. international scamming is so abundant im surprised anybody mentions it anymore.
-
it seems to me that if you solicit the opinions of the other members, you need to be ready for a couple that might not be so flattering. no need for nastiness.
lmfao! you think that the post i quoted on the top of this page wasnt agressive? reread it again and tell me that my response to somebody saying that my tastes and opinions are flat out wrong was unjustifiable.
so, does anybody know where i can find some pics of sc's with aftermarket spoilers?
-
Harsh.
i call it getting straight to the point, but harsh is also a suitable description.
im wanting some pics of different spoilers on sc's, but there is a total lack of any. i refuse to get one of those gt (aluminum on stilts) wings because i dont like those on any vehicle other than a full blown race car such as a daytona prototype.

Axle back is referring to just the muffler. The rest of the piping is stock. So you're just buying the noise and some performance. The Cat-back refers from the catalyc converter to the exhaust tips. The Borla is better because it's a cat-back exhaust. It would have been better if it was a header exhaust, but that requires custom work.
could you point me in the direction of this borla catback? all the borla website offers is a rear section.

second stickiest tire kumho has to offer (#1 is their much pricier ecsta mx) if you dont count their competition series ecsta v700 :). the wheel & tire package i listed goes for $1190.
you sure capitol isnt the place where the tires were bought?
