  1. I know there are probably a whole bunch of people out there with aftermarket rims on their IS. I am looking into getting new 18 or 19inch rims for my car (2007 IS250, Tungsten Pearl) and would appreciate if people could post some of their pictures so I can narrow down what looks good and what doesnt.

    Thanks a Million!!

I would really suggest going with the IS350 19" wheels. Those wheels look amazing and you're not overdoing it with them either.

  2. I have an IS-350. I recently got a new cell phone, Motorola RAZR V3. I cannot get it to Auto Connect to the IS-350 bluetooth. AFter the initial registration it never asks for the password again but I must manually connect each time. I know it is not the phone as it works fine with other Bluetoot devices.

    Any ideas?

I use to have that phone with my IS 250 and it wouldnt auto connect with the car. Its the phones problem not the car, i recently just bought a samsung slider and works just perfect

Haha same exact thing happened to me with the same exact phones except I have a GS!!

  3. Hi everyone. I just registered over here. I usually post over at Newcelica.org because I currently have an 03 Celica GTS. I am anxiously awaiting the day that I can pick up a 2007 IS250. I either want a glacier frost or white one. The local dealer has a beautiful glacier frost one that I'm going to look into more when I can either sell my Celica or negotiate a better trade-in price.

I've been dealing with Arrowhead Lexus in Arizona and my sales person was the best I have ever dealt with. He came back to me and said that he honestly thinks I should sell my car on my own to get more money for it. That I thought was really awesome that he was upfront and honest.

I look forward to posting with all of you!

ALWAYS sell your car outright and NEVER trade in...unless you have all the money and at that point you dont care. As far as colors go, go with the white. the glacier frost is nice, but when dust settles it looks really dirty.

  4. I'm as much a fan of Nissan as I am Lexus, so I feel the need to clarify a few things -

    1) With the options you're looking at, the price difference between the G and the IS is bigger than you might think - IS + Sport Pkg + NV Pkg = MSRP: $43,390 -- G37 fully loaded = MSRP: ~$41,500.

    2) You need to be sure of what you want from the car. If you want luxury and subtlety, then the IS is definately the right pick. If you want flare and performance (if you plan on tuning it) then I'd go with the G. The IS350 is an amazing car, but I think it is a totally different class than the G37. The "VQ" series engine (in the G) has been ranked in Ward's "top 10 engines in the world" for 11 years straight (it was #1 in 2006). I believe the VQ35DE should be ranked among the RB, JZ and SR series engines in tuneability (I've seen it put down over 600rwhp NA). Plus, the G is available with a 6-spd and has tons of aftermarket support already. But the G will never live up to the Lexus standard of luxury and class. As much as I love the G interior, the L-Finesse strategy has apparently worked. The IS interior is roomier, more comfortable, more ergonomic, more attractive and has more gadgets than just about any car in its class - better stereo, better nav, better interface and better materials than the G37 (plus a real backseat). If you asked me which car I'd take on a road trip, I'd pick the IS hands down. Though which one I'd drive around town with might be a different answer.

    3) Paddle shifters come standard with all the ISx50 (except the 6-spd trim) and the automatics have six gears.. The G37 comes in either 6-spd manual or 5-spd auto.

    4) Either way you go (special order IS or G37) you're going to have to wait for the car. But if you have to wait to get exactly what you want, do it - it'll be worth it when you finally have it in your driveway.

    Very nicely said.

  5. Take out the shifting panel and get the screw.

I dont think it could do any damage, but if that happened to me and I left it like that, it would DRIVE ME NUTSSS

so just open up the paneling and see if you can see the screw, if u see it, take it out. and if u dont, give urself the false hope that it fell out the bottom!! :-)

if ur not a freak like me...dont worry leave it..im sure its not a biggie!

I'd probably do the exact same thing, but then again...I'm crazy.

  6. Ok, this may sound "in left field" but it's usually what ends up fixing it for some. With the side of your fist try whacking it where there are no buttons to mess up a few times. Hit it pretty hard a few times. See if that will set the load mech. free. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to pull the unit out, and remove the housing and see if you can get in there and free it up like that. If it ends up that it's broken, ( needs replacement parts.) I have a stock 6 disc changer out of an 05' that I can sell ya if you really want to stay with the stock unit. I think Bartkat sells new and used ones also.

You guys seem to have all the answers, but that's a good thing ha

  7. If you go to the Lexus site, click "Owners" at the top right of the page, it'll ask you to log in or register as a Lexus Owner or a Lexus Enthusiast. After you register as an owner, you get stuff like free hotel upgrades or lift tickets at ski resorts, complimentary spa treatment, discounted green fees at Pebble Beach, etc. If you sign up for the Lexus Visa card, the rewards program that comes with it gives you 1 point for every $5 you spend (standard rewards deal) but it works at Lexus Dealers so you can use the points on tune-ups or maintenance if you want. Since I use a credit card to cover my monthly expenses (easy to budget) that means a buttload of free Lexus stuff :D

Signing up with the site right now...thank you Cory.

  8. Toyota in general must be going to this "new" design (really it is an older design, similar to what I've had on old Alfa Romeos). This new for Toyota design is also on the new Tundra pickup (at least on the new 5.7L engine).

I hate trucks like the Tundra, unless you are in construction etc.
