  1. If your cats still glowing then you have problem, otherwise, you just have a code#25 and the car running fine then reset the computer by pull off EFI#1 or EFI#2. See if the code still come back up if it does then you have problem. I suggest that you keep checking your cats if your car does not drive normal. Usually the cats are bad you can feel the performance of accelerate is bad.

  2. Anyone here has problem with your LS400 95's stereo? I am still searching in the dark at night for the damn stations. I have not figured out how to fix the lights, or find the exact cause of the powerouttage to stereo lights. Sometimes, the lights are ON at night that makes it look nice. Most of the times it's darkness. I think it has to do with some electrical surge in the stereo system. If someone here know how to troubleshoot the problem please give some hints. I am anxient to fix mine.

  3. DOes anyone here have a similar problem as I do? I left the car in the garage for 3 days without touching it. On the 4 th day I can not start it. It also happened last time but I had to jump it. Lights and Radio are ON, does not seem the battery out of juice or anything, but the Engine won't turn unless I had its battery connects to my truck to give it more joice to crank the engine.

    Do I need a new battery?

  4. Recently, I just found out that my handle on passenger side door is strange looking. Around the the handle there is a rubber seal and it had a hole on tbe bottom part of the handle. It's a shape of a screw driver. Apprarently, someone had tried to pry off the door lock. I was not sure the alarm went off or not. But it really suck to see there is a dent on Lexus.

  5. I think the moist got inside your distributor when it's rain. This is happening when the seal around the distributor is old. If I were you, I would replace all the bad sparkplugs with all error codes that you reported earlier. If you have not replaced your sparkplug wires for more than 60 miles, then do so, get a brand new set. Also replace both distributor caps and rotors. Don't remove your distributor housing or loose it. That will cost you a big head ache.

    Your car should run fine after replacing all these parts. Labor for these works will cost you $350.00 at dealer.

  6. What year is your car? What is the milleage do you have on it? Have you been taken it in for tune up lately? If you have not done so, I suggest you should have a turn up. I think it has to do with your tune up and Throttle problem. If your throttle is dirty this could cause your car to accellerate by itself. Start working on your throttle body.

  7. I think I have a same problem with my ls400 '95. When doing a quicky brake at stop sign after travelling more than 50 miles/hr, I can hear a clunk noise from the tranny or motor mount. I think this cause from tranny to swith gear from high to low to reduce the speed. But if I brake as normal as taking time to prepare to stop then I don't hear that noise. I think this has something to do with motor mount or tranny mount/bushing.

  8. Last August 03, I brought the car in the dealer for ENGINE LIGHT check. They told me I need to replace both cats for $3400. So, I went ahead bought dealer part $900.00 just for 1 item, and replace this on the left side (below driver side). Few weeks later, I cleaned battery connector and left cable off for 30mins. The Engine light went away until now, Feb 04. So, I am not sure. it's really the cat or sensor at this moment after I got the code pulled from AUTOZONE. I am very confident with the code was pull at the Autozone, because they got it right on last Engine Code error. Can you give me some hints on how to mearsure the sensor? does it have to be removed from the pipe before do the measurement? Thanks LExv8

    There are no black smog comes out at the tail pipe. If I had to change the OS first, which one should I replace first? The one before the inflow converter or the one behind outflow of converter? By the way, where do you get a OS for $80? The dealer where I am at, the charge from 110-130 for one before and one after the catalyst.

  10. I went to Advance Auto and told them the part that I need for code P0430 and he said it's too general. He gives me a number of a shop where can diagnostic and tell exact problem with which item is bad. The labor will be $32.00 anyone have any suggestion? Should I went and waist 32 bucks for diagnostic?

  11. Someone must have changed my post I did list my car model ls400 95. Catalyst converter is expensive man. It runs $850 a piece, the OEM one is 250 but I don't like it to be weld on my pipe beside the OEM is a little longer than the original one. it's kind of round and long, not flat and short as original one.

  12. Does anyone here experience a jerk motion when let's go the gas pedal? This problem is rarely happening. I can not dupplicate the problem right after this happened. After this problem happening now I got an error code P0430. If someone had a similar problem, please give me some advices how to solve my problem. Thanks!
