02-06 Transmission hesitation problems

This question might have been asked before but I didn't feel like reading through 6 pages to see so bear w/ me....a while back I recieved a notice about a recall w/ the transmission chip and that you could have it re-programmed, however once you did this there was no going back......so I was just wondering has anyone had this done and how did your car perform afterwards?? -
A wet belt makes sense...that's probably all it is

I was not braking when it happened....oh and by the way I know earlier I said that the car had 10000 miles on it but it really has about 12200

It's been pouring down rain today here in Texas and I was out driving and I heard the screeching noise....it was really loud...happened two times on the passenger side of the car.....still has only happened when it rains....just thought I would let yall know

I don't brake hard...unless there's a situation that calls for it....sometimes I don't brake early because I'm "testing" the brakes....maybe since it only happened once or twice it''s not really a big deal???

sorry about not specifying the model year...02...I've put that in some other topics but I didn't think to put it here....the car has about 10000 miles on it

it only happened 2 times....the road was really wet....and why would the brakes be wearing out when the car is only 2 yrs. old?????

When driving the car this weekend on a wet surface, all of the sudden the car would make a screeching noise w/out putting on the brake or accelerating hard...just cruisin about 15 down the alley....anybody know anything about this??

I've been reading in some other posts about a "body door kit" that Lexus will order for you and fix the rattles....just wondering if somebody can give me some specific details and how much it costs...hopefully it's free

I pushed the "engraved lexus" area @ the bottom of the front and rear door...and it did not sound like the rattles...it just made a normal creaking sound...

you mean down at the bottom where the word lexus is engraved....like when you step in....sorry if I sound like an idiot....just want to make sure before I do anything

that's what I figured...maybe they could figure out how to fix the "rattle" issue for the 05 model

I'm pretty sure...that's where it's always sounded like it was coming from to me And also, my back doors do not rattle...the rattling sometimes sounded like it was coming from the end of the front door closest to the panel...but now I think it is just from the panel

I've noticed that it seems that alot of the rattles in my 02 ES is coming from the panel in between the front and rear doors on both sides of the car (you know...where the seat belt and side airbags are located)...does anybody know anything about this??

I agree...it does handle well in the rain and you feel like you have nothing to worry about -

Gone through the same thing w/ my 02' ES300. Yeah, mine will rattle more when it's cold...in Texas it's not all the time though! I do get rattles from the back door and lots of other places...but it really annoys me....guess it's because it's a Lexus and you wouldn't expect it...don't have a solution for you because I haven't fixed mine yet...but airing up your tires to the right p.s.i. can help some!!!! :D :D -
Does anybody know what some of the new features are going to be on the 2005 ES330?? Oh, and when is the next redesign scheduled?? B)

On my 02 ES300, underneath the front of the car, there looks like there is a big long black (possibly plastic panel) that is not screwed into the car on both sides. One side just flops and dangles. When going over harsh bumps, it will rattle and make a bad noise. Is this something that needs fixing??
