At 2 lpm, I'm hoping to get 30% to 50% increase in gase mileage. So hopefully, I'll go from 22 mpg to 33 mpg. It's cost me about $200 in parts to build this thing, and if I get the mpg increase I'm hoping for, it'll pay itself off in about 2 months. To completely replace gas, you need about 200 lpm for up to a 2 liter engine. I understand your skepticism. I was skeptical too, but after making a small one and ingniting the gas bubbles (which exploded with the bang of a firecracker for a 2" diameter bubble), it seems quite feasible. You use the extra unused electricity from your alternator which would otherwise be wasted to split the water molecules into Hydrogen and Oxygen. Hydrogen is explosive, and together with Oxygen is 1,000 times as explosive as the gasoline. ...anyway, just a little background information, and I'm as curious as y'all (maybe more anxious) as to the benefit I'll get in mpg. Hmmm. I'm almost finished with making my own HHO Hydrogen generator which should produce up to 2 liters per minute of Hyrdroxy gas. I'll let you know how it goes. My car is a '95 ES300. ;)

That happened to mine. I was rolling through the neighborhood on my way home and for once, had the window down. How embarassing! I couldn't hear it with the windows up. This sound must have been there for some time before I noticed it. I thought there was something horribly wrong. It was my "hub cap"; that little insert that fits in the center with the L on it. Pull it off, bend out the tabs and smack it back on there. It's gotten loose and rocks back and forth as your wheel spins. Did the sound go away?... ^_^

I remember reading something that had me thinking the needles were 5v or 6v. Going on the thought that they were 12v & needed 18 SMD LEDs for the long needles, I planned on creating a 6-series, 3-parallel, set. After cutting into the needles, hoping to use the original circuit boards (or at least get an idea of how to draw a new one), I found the original needles had a 3-series, 6-parallel set. That means they used 4v LEDs if 12v needles or 2v LEDs if 6v needles. Does anyone know for sure what voltage the needles run on? Thanks, Josh

Hi BoaR, Where is your LED thread? I did a search for your username and didn't find an LED thread. I have the LEDs to make my new needles, but I'd love more info before continuing, especially on reading the initial message in this thread. The LEDs I bought are 2.0v SMD LEDs. Thanks, Josh

Hi, I just bought some SMD LEDs to repair my needles. Did you ever have any luck finding a solution? How did you go about repairing yours? Were you able to use the original needles and just replace the LEDs? Thanks, Josh

I am definitely going to do Lexucan's DIY Needle fix as well as installing the brighter LED instrument backlighting. When I do, though, I'm thinking about tinting the window that you look through to view your Speedo and other needles and guages. I remember on the early LS that it was almost totally black until you turned on the car (I have a '95 ES300). They really looked like holograms and had me fooled... maybe they were. That's why I want to tint the guage window (after the needle and backlight fix of course); so that the guages and needles would be blacked out until the car was turned on. Someone in here said the instrument cluster wasn't that interesting anyway, but if the needles and all were just hanging there in the middle of blackness, they would look interesting indeed.
