  1. The part I used came from NAPA # 735-2785. I hope this helps.
  2. Try to find my post where I tried to describe the fix for this problem. The part I used came from NAPA #735-2785 and it is still working in both front doors I had to fix. The important part is to try put a cable zip tie to hold the rod in the clip. Not easy to acomplis, but worth the time and strugle, othervise the rod may slip out.
  3. I talked with service writer in Colorado about the same problem and he said to live with it if it still works. The problem is with a resistance in the circuit and he said it is a bad design. It may be right at the connector to the light or elswhere. My light is the one piece unit that you have to take off the tire and the mud protector and the washer fluid tank and who knows what else to get to. Yes the price I was quoted is $700 and I have condesation inside as well. I may have to deal with the fast blinker when the safety check comes due in May.
  4. I have an ES300 mnfg. 11/95 and it has three screws. Even after removing all of them the light will not move. It is a one piece light and it seems to have a screw inside than can be remooved only after taking the front lens out, but that is not easily obvious to accomplish either. I am waiting for a Haynes manual and hoping for instruction there.
  5. Yes it is. One more detail I remember to help with the repair. There is a rubber gaskett on the door and has a semihiden screw. After you carefuly remove it and get your window all the way down, it gives you an openning to access the hole in the handle where the plastic and the rod goes. If you can find the broken plastic part, take it to the part store to compare to a new one. My Toyota dealer had no clue what it is and I am still waiting for their phone call. That was over a year ago.
  6. My right blinker goes fast too, but only when the lights are on? How do you take the headlight out to change the bulb? I had all the screws I can see out, but still no luck. What is the trick? Thanks
  7. The plastic part, if broken, can be hard to insert. I have used insolated wire to pull through the hole with the new part on it and a knot on the end. You can not put your hands into the space to work parts together. Since I have no Lexus dealer on isalnd where I live, I fount a GM part that fits. I can give you specs. if you need them. I had to do both of my front door, the driver's side twice, because it slipped out when people grab the handle and yank it too far up. I have also put a tie wrap arround the rod and new plastic insert. It requires a surgical like procedure however. To remove the door pannel is fairly easy after you figure out all the screws and pop of the plastic ring arround the handle. Good luck.
