the 1jz would be better for your DD, but you can never go wrong with the 2jz

asked so many times before, but lets go at it again... "not being rude" just never gave my opinion before. . . i can get full jdm gte swaps for about 1800. convert to usdm specs for about another 600-700 bucks/ if going single then that money would just go towards that. are you doing install and wiring or out sourcing it? thats were that major money would go. if doing yourself then i would say gte all the way! i love mine and done another. wouldnt do it any other way. i have one done with us specs except turbos and the other with all jdm specs. they both drive great and are a blast to drive at that. find out what your budget is and what kinda power you are looking for. i ran a 13.22 in 1/4 mile and thats with wheel spinning under full boost at 15psi on stock jdm twins. thats just my two cents anyways, if you have questions or need parts lmk i can try and help as much as possible.

thanks looks like project is going to be held off for couple weeks... :cries: but on the other hand, its because im now going to be a 6 spd supra owner oh yeah

here are some basic motor shots for now. the motor is going to be torn down and almost all maintence done. valve stem seals, main seals timing belt, ect, ect...

Yep so here are some of the pics of the shell and will get shots of the motor at a later date. car is a 92 automatic with tan interior. we are going to simply replace with a gte motor. this car will keep the stock twins for now since power goal is only about 400hp. we will be sanding it down and painting with fresh oem look with tanabe springs and 18" rims. seats are going to be wrapped in new leather and possible sparco suede front seats. of course full ps and ac is a must, with an update alarm system for all those theives out there. then again the car will be garaged kept and guarded by some of michael vicks pit bulls! seriously though this should be a fun journey and cant wait to see the final results. opinions do count, but no "go single" comments please. i will leave that up to you when you buy the car :P

texas does an obd2 test and for older makes they put on dyno and check all readings. only AWD cars get the 2 speed idle, or cars that cannot turn the trac control off.

i found it easiest to have a manual parts car, so that way you would have anything and everything needed. i know thats a little easier said than done, but it can be done.

im not sure what the name of this front bumper is, but if anyone likes it let me know, cause im getting rid of it asap. its fiberglasss and fits pretty good. the front does have a little damage but was qouted 150 bucks to fix.

i found out that my 12 disc cd player would drain my battery when the lid was shut. then again its broken and wont work all it does make sounds like its going through all the discs.

ive seen people run RXP through there car and it would come back and pass the test with flying colors. just make sure it get it all out of your tank before going back to test or you will fail.
