  1. ok thanks, thats all i needed to know ;] Rich
  2. Ok, I fould an SC400 up here for pretty cheap thats in great condition...I was just wondering if I did do the 2jz swap then would i have to redo the motor mounts, and everything esle...would it be cheaper to find an sc300 (for about a grand more) and put the 2jz into that than !Removed! with an sc4? Rich
  3. never mind...forget i said anything, just like I wasnt even here... Rich
  4. 112mph in my saturn sl2 with an intake...that was in third gear (auto 4spd) and 4th hit at 110 and has no power because its my overdrive gear. and 163 in my friends stock 3000gt VR4 (one of my dream cars...).
  5. i did it on my grandma's minivan, and even my mom noticed the diffrence...Its really not that hard, unless you have a radiator line runing through the throttle body to cool it off...then it sucks. Rich
  6. you could do what i did to several other cars, take off the throttle body, clean it, the bore it out and knife edge the throttle plate. this can all be done with a dremmel, takes about an hour or two, but you will notice sharper thorottle response, increased fuel economy, and smoother idling. Rich
  7. Get the sc300 and swap the 2jz-gtte. Welcome to the club thanks, I found a link to that swap guide (www.fly-hawaii.com/lexustt/) but it is $89 bucks!!! but if it really helps then I would do it... now i just need a SC3, 2JZ-GTE, a garage, more tools (the best kind of shopping in the world), a dyno... Now will it be good for drifting??? im sure it would be similar to an actual supra except heavier... if it cost $10-13k Im in!!! Rich
  8. Hi everyone, My name is Rich, I am obviously new to this forum.... I do Not currently own/drive a lexus SC300/400 but am in the market. I have been looking at these cars for a few years now, and there is something about them that draws me to them, but i dont know what. I had a few questions about swapping in a 1jz-gtte motor (which i believe is the soarer and 89-92 supra tt motor), Now i can find the motor(turbos +all the nessesities) and engine harness (uncut) pretty cheap, but then comes the tranny, i can find a 5 speed cheap...but my question, would a six speed from a MKIV supra (2jz-gtte) bolt on the same, and what mods would I have to do to make it fit (motor mounts, moddify the bell housing)? How much would it cost to have a Pro do the motorswap for me (rough guess)? Or should I just swap in a 2jz-gtte and raise hell with the local cops? :D all help and support is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rich
