  1. Of course... is part of the Lexus Personalized Settings...the very first one!
  2. Almost 10% below MSRP. Tax is 6% Tag and title depends, keep your old tag and save Dealer charges $700 for fees and services
  3. JM Lexus offers the best pricing... #1 Lexus dealer in the world for 15 consecutive years... Just ask for Gary Andrews.
  4. Does it include the whole bumper below the headlights and around the fog ligths and lower bumper opening? Does it include the external mirrors?
  5. 2 inches sounds like too much to me.... Your ride will go to hell as you will need to stiffen your shocks to avoid bottoming out constantly... It all depends on how smooth are the roads in your neck of the woods....
  6. I hope I will. Fun to drive is very high on my list. However, the lack of space (well relative, compared to the 7-series) was a bit tough to take. We'll see. ==== The BMW 335 is substantially bigger inside than the IS350, even the coupe... and you may get a better trade in at a BMW dealer than at a Lexus dealer, who knows...
  7. I do 66% expressway at -usually- 80-90 MPH on average. I drive aggresively during half the time. I do 60 miles commute per day. Average mpg between 19.5 and 21 depending on how heavy the foot was... If I drive "leisurely" then it goes up to 24 mpg. same commute. Flat all over, no hills, just overpasses...
  8. What is wrong with that? The Golf GTI has been praised unanimously by all "experts" and you can have it with the (also unanimously praised) best DSG gearbox in the car world... The Golf is at a completely different level (FWD is the major issue here), but if I had not the resources to buy the IS the GTI will definitely be top in my list of alternatives. The A3 is a great car but extravagantly overpriced... it really -almost- competes in price with a basic IS350.... If you find the 740 fun and fast, etc, you'll find the IS350 superior in all areas... it is a much newer design and nimbler/ faster than your 6 year old 740.
  9. Darn... I forgot to request the "roach clip" option ...
  10. My IS came with ashtray and cigarette lighter, is there something out there that can be used to replace the ashtray and put something else? a coin holder will be ideal for me, but anything else would be considered....
  11. Have you owned a German car before? Brake dust is the rule, not the exception. Soft pads that help you brake better and do not ruin the rotors. I had two Boxsters before my Lexus and brake dust was there all the time. No solution if you want to keep your braking power... Check BMWs, MBs, Porsches, brake dust is commonplace.
  12. I like my IS350 steering feel all the way to 100 mph, after that it gives me a weird feeling. The feeling is the same you feel when you have strong side winds but there is no wind. Has any one felt the same? Is it my imagination? or it is just the way this steering works at those speeds (to force you to slow down... :whistles: :chairshot:
  13. I have the 3M in my car, bumpers, hood (about the front third), mirrors and the sides to match the hood, plus the headlights: $550 for the bra and $50 for the headlights (extra heavy product that will protect them from almost hammering them..) $349 must just be the hood only, you need the whole front, bumper, lights, the whole 9 yards.
  14. The manual is quite clear on how to do it but... How easy it is to remove the plastic covers on the top of the engine? I want to move my headlights just a little bit up, but do not want to mess with removing and re-installing the plastic covers if it is not a super easy task. Any comments? Thanks
  15. I recently tested my IS350 against a 4D 335 and the 335 was slightly faster, just slightly. In 0-60 I believe both cars to be equal or perhaps the IS may be a tiny faster, but after that the 335 starts passing the IS and keeps on going. in the 1/4 mile it should be some tenths faster, don't know how much. If the STI is close to the 335, then it is not that far from the IS. In any case the STI should win in most cases. The fastest way to drive the IS is in full automatic. Has anyone read the comparison in Road and Track four months ago? Their IS had a 0-60 of 4.9 ...! It must have been a "factory special"..... Just my two pesos...
