  1. I'm no expert on this, but check to make sure the that whatever connects the sunroof to car isn't busted, and none of the metal seems broken. I don't think the motor has enough power to brake the sunroof. Try carefully pushing it back into place.
  2. Do the 93 Trannys have vents? :whistles:
  3. Well let me have to pleasure to be the first to say, Welcome! Enjoy your ES to the fullest of its extent. White lithium grease on the joints should free up your doors. And just keep up on maintainence to keep everything running smooth.
  4. Okay, so i got under there, couldn't find the stupid fog relay at all. I heard clicking when i turned on the fogs, but i couldn't tell where it was coming from. Can someone supply me with some pictures or some help? Has ANYONE done this on their 93??? :(
  5. awsome. B) What fuse should i hook it up to?
  6. Ive seen the write up for the later year es300's, is it the same for my 93? Also, I need to make the wires needed for the job, but bananaGS's website isn't working anymore and I was wondering if anyone could kinda tell me how to make one. And, the carpet panel surrounding the relay seems like it's fastened in there, do i just rip it out?? haha, I think I'm gonna need some help with this one...
  7. Might as well get cloud insurance while youre at it. :snoooorrrtttt:
  8. yea, get a can of carb cleaner and clean out your IACV, EGR, and TB. If that doesn't help try replacing your air filter. Sure as heck fixed my rough idle.
  9. No problem, again with the trunk there are two nuts on the sides, your gonna have to remove the carpet on the side walls of the trunk to get to those. And yea, just thoroughly read Lexucan's DIY and you should be good to go! goodluck
  10. Mine has that extra tube, and nothing comes out of it. Does fluid come out of yours?
  11. You should be able to download the Factory Service Manual from the post-its on the top of the forum. To replace tail light bulbs, take off the black plastic thing that surrounds the trunk hatch, then unhook the carpet and pull it off the trunk walls. There should be some nuts on the back wall of the trunk, unscrew those with a small wrench. After you have removed those you should be able to just pull the tail light housing out of the car. From there you can just remove the bulbs from the housing, hope this helps! Lexucan has written a DIY for replacing the lights on the instrument cluster and the radio and a/c, check his personal page for it. Its easy and cheap, replacing the whole cluster could cost you around $100-$150.
  12. ns3425, you have just been layed down for hopefully the last time. toysrme knows how to handle things
  13. lol, hell, why dont you just get a midget to race your car, they weigh less than you hopefully.
  14. Most used trannys and engines run from $500-$800 depending on where the mechanic will get it from, and it should cost around $400-$500 for labor, so $1200 sounds pretty good, and that fact that you two are neighbors means he more than likely wont make it a crappy job. Go for it!
  15. STP injector cleaner, comes in a black bottle, run some every other time you change your oil.
  16. make one, or take it to a shop. Dont drive into any puddles!
  17. Maybe you hit a few more stop lights than on your last tank, some more stop and goes? A fluctuation of 15 miles isn't a big problem. And yeah, its summertime so check your tire pressure to make sure its perfect.
  18. Racing... in a stock 01 ES300? Lexus didnt make it for pushing 0-60 in 5.3, thats the IS's job. <_< Stop trying to put fuel additives in and stop messing with your transmission. Just roll down the windows, turn up the stereo, and do what Geo says and enjoy the ride. Plus if you spend less time racing you can spend less time at the pumps, which is more money for you!
  19. Ack, that makes me cringe, poor Lexus. And poor you, sounds like that hurt, damn. But yeah, if i don't find any headlights around my area id love to take that tail light off your hands. And if i think I'm doing wrong with the needles, ill be sure to pm you fer any help, thanks a bunch!
  20. Yeah what a F***ed up project this turned out to be, i feel stupid almost. Hey Lexucan i know how you feel. When trying to leave school, someone in a huge Ram 1500 backed right up into me, completely messing the whole front end up. :chairshot: I'm going to the local junkyard soon to look for possibly another pair of tail lights to replaced my banged up suckers. Also, lexucan, I'm soon going to try fix my needles and backlighting with the help of your DIY, I reeeaaally hope i don't mess anything up.
  21. you're damn right! People drive these cars, dont really maintain them, and then let people like us handle the overheating problems, suspension problems, and electrical fallouts.
  22. Can we just kinda steal em from the !Removed!, or are there any websites?
  23. Nah, its not that big of a project, just grab a buddy and a few hours. Youd thank yourself later.
  24. Haha, can you say windex? When i pulled them apart to clear the corners i make sure to clean the chrome nice n good.
