  1. No, I do my own work. This is a lot more than just a little drip. Lets say, the size of a coffee can lid.
  2. Yesterday, I was kind of stomping on the throttle a little harder than I normally do. This morning I noticed a sizable oil puddle in the center of the car near the oil drain plug. I need to get under there to see whats going on but do you guys think this could be a main seal? If so, the car needs to go...$ engine pull. Any suggestions of what to look for? I also have the famous PS leak. Could this just be ATF fluid working its way back to the oil pan area? It seamed pretty oilly like motor oil though. Anyone else had this happen? Termin8or
  3. When I bought my car, the guy had an archaic way of " hit the button, open the door to the changer. Do this twice then insert the magazine" Anyway, I loaded all twelve disks and some do load some don't. I also have bad skipps. A guy at work said that they make gel pillows that you can buy at the stereo store to help in this area. Also, occasionally the volume will just absolutly blare at the start of a song causing me to turn the volume down. After a few seconds I then start loosing my bass and the volume deteriorates to were I then need to crank the volume back up. I originally thought that the was the amp going out but the radio seems to work OK. How do you hook up that IPOD? I do think thats the way to go.
  4. I just bought mine about 1-1/2 months ago as an extra car. I've already put about 2500 miles on it. 93 SC400. I bought this car because a guy at work has an LS400 (same engine) with 240K miles. No issues at all and had just done normal maintenance. My SC has 134K and runs strong. It was to be an extra car but I like it so much I do drive it every day. I don't think you will be disappointed but do check for the normal items that this forum explains so well. ie: leak in PS pump, dash needle lights, rear trunk lid pistons etc. These are mostly naggy little problems but you should check.
  5. Wow, sometimes it's enough to knock me over. Does this mean that my ox sensors need replacing. If something was indeed wrong wouldn't it show a "check engine light? I'm not sure because my 93 SC400 is an OBC I car.
  6. Hello, I'm new to this forum so be gentle. I got my SC400 for $4K. A great condition gold edition from a Chicago area doctor. I've driven this car for $2500 miles and it runs great. I do have some issues though and just yesterday I noticed sizable puddle of oil in the area of the oil drain plug. This is the first time noticing it and it occured right after I kind of stoped on the gas. I'm hoping that it's not a main seal or the car has to go. I've been there done that.... expensive engine pull. Anyway, you said that you tightened up he cam cover bolds in front of the engine and that stopped a leak in the rear? Are you saying that the oil blew back then dripped around the rear of the engine? termin8or
