Some people just never grow up, so when things don't go their way they'll cut off their nose to spite their face and then throw a tantrum in the corner. If the admins don't mind me suggesting it, why don't you just pull his posting priveleges for a while? Let him see the forum but not cause discord with his immaturity. I would really like to see a HEPA or near equivalent filter for a 330 (the 300 filter looks similar), the stock Lexus one really cannot cut it.

If anything, it's something else that could go wrong in the car's software. No, Lexus isn't immune to software problems, I had an IS250 that would backfire a lot due to (very) faulty powertrain software running the valve timing wayyy too far one way (don't remember if it was too advanced or reduced). As far as standing behind the car, well, yes, the dealer did accept a swap for an RX330. :)

Well, first off, this one's not "my" car as it actually is my mom's. Since she'll never do any work on it or get in a car forum I'll represent the true owner here. I'm 18, 6'8 and personally wouldn't have an RX as a daily driver. Too small and the ride quality (for me) is not good enough. I'm a fullsize SUV sort of person, but I love the look and the handling of the RX330. Chick car? Yes, that's why my mom likes it so much. I guess that's all there is to it lol.

More and weaker is not better either LoL! I don't even run Overdrive unless I'm on the Highway. The only reason I would get an 8 speed is for the fuel mileage. Plus, I would have more gears to mess with.

I've been through 3 4-speed trannies (GM :chairshot: ), I think they shoulda stayed 3 speed or at least been much better built. 8 speeds are still asking for trouble IMHO.

If your car has the passenger cabin air filter, you may want to remove it and clean it. I pulled mine out at 5K and it was jam packed with leaves and dirt, some of which had slipped down the sides of the filter. You could possibly have a leaf or something stuck in the system if it's not the servo. Just my $0.02 ;) Edit: Be careful when taking that filter out! If enough debris is built up, it can be scraped off the filter and fall into the intake (and that would be a real bummer). I don't know how to prevent it though.

Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think I had a unique issue. Maybe I can get the dealer to reprogram the ECU, if not I'll have to go in search of a programmer that does Lexus vehicles.

I came to this forum because I'm sort of an information sponge, I just wander around and learn, then share what I know and have learned. I'm a car/truck groupie, I like hanging out with and helping out (and being helped) other folks who share my passion for automotive stuff.

I use the Bosch wipers and a heavy coating of RainX. Works great for me, plus I only have to wipe when mist builds up. THe Bosch make a very clean wipe too. I don't get much snow or cold down here, just monsoons.
