hi lexus prosssssssssssss..............Does lexus use timeing belt or timeing chain on 1991 LS400?...look at this --- i smeel kida smoke so i opend my plug and wear cover .. so took a look at the timeing belt seem like its made out of plastic..lol best teeth were kida looks like burning out like plastic does .i mean melting .. is it normal ? .. guys dont mind me cuz im new to lexus thanks ..

heheh .. nha the cars run better and got better gas mile then 7mpg ! however yes ... he did all that for exacty $850 which include taxes.. what he did was .. full fuel system service and fuel injector cleaner + throtel body ..2 engine mount 1 transmission mount .. insfaction allover the car for anyloss or necessery repair or parts .. not only that. he even .. fix my .. cluster neddel cuz it was stuck lol ... and advice me to buy plug +wire and do it my self or mechanic lol ... i guess is all that cuz the guy was from my country hehe lol .... but once again it was at the dealer lol ... so gave him a $50 doller tip.. which bring it to total of $900 hehe was it allrite? worth it ? oh man its runs reat ..and the engine is so smooth lol im loving it .. he told me any problem just take it to him and he will t.c of me lol .. i guess its worth that i went to dealer for the 1st time hhee .. anyways guyss it was great !!!!! .

im back in busniess after spending $1000 lol ... cleaning fule injector... body throtel + 2 engine mount + 1 transmission mount at the dealer its runs great ! abt gas milage the dealer cant even help .. they said even some band new cars comeing with complain abt runing low gas milage its natural for car but its sure help me .. doing all this car is good now .. thank you guys !!!!

okay guys ... i didnt get my ans ... however all the check light are off now after spending 6 Doller gas .. by pressing gas peddel down .. to drive the carbon out now its runs like new ..how ever as my mechanic told me ... there is something wrong with my 1st "throttle body" which is the 1st one from the airflow monifold .. when they open to clean it .. they saw the 1st "throttle body" was open while the 2nd "throttle body" was close he said it wond save gas by cleaning it cus the 1st "throttle body" supose to be closeing and open just like 2nd "throttle body" when you press the gas paddel .. the 2nd "throttle body" open when you press the gas but 1st "throttle body" always stay open .. is it normal or i need to get it fix? guys they test it while the engine was off .. however .. so please tell me .. eventhough car runs smooth and great now they said it wont save gas cus 1st "throttle body" is not working .. so please you guys tell me is it supose to like that .. or is it supose to open and close just like .. 2nd one .. one more thing when they open the "throttle body" to clean the 1st "throttle body" was clean while the 2nd one was really dirty? .. does it help? do i need to fix? if so how much im looking for ? many many thanks guys ! it will be help full if i fast respond !

Lex92 bro you are the best ....i mean ur right abt dealer and reguler ...mechanic...so ur saying to clean and check ? "check your neg. ground to the body, New air filter, Clean your maf sensor, and clean your throttle body" will that make the car back to normal speed i mean 20 mpg? one more thing can anyone tell me where is my NEG? located and throttle body with a pic please thanks alot .... i know its sound funny that im asking but thats the only way to learn from you guys !

so what do i do take it to the dealer and let them find it out ?

1.its been week i flush +fill my engine . 2. its been 2 months i change the air filter and i cleand the fuel injector about month ago at the lube express. just to let u guys know -- 89 octane gave me 135 and 91 octane gave me 144 .. i try both ummm i never did the general maintenance ..... ..ok i will try that thanks !---sorry guys im not fan of lexus . have Maxima. but brought cus dad want my 1998 mexima so thats my 1st lexus even its 1991 .. sorry to say i dont know much abt cars i just take to mechanick but lexus they wanna . nissan and toyota is way cheaper . ummm i dont know what els to say

sorry to say guys hear me out please ...i tested my car and found that its eating my money alive ...my gas tank was fulll ... and its only gave me 145 mile thats all and i used ..gas rated 89" .... umm its really bad isnt it ? seem like at the beganing of the run i have to press the gas paddel harder for it to run after like 30 second its run great !!. and then its good to go ...umm what could be the problem what should i do and what should i look into?? any advice would help thanks and its ls 400 1991.....!!!

guys tell me something wts up with you guys and .. toyota iv type fulid whats wrong tryinng lube recomendedone lol? i didnt try it but i gotta try it one of my freind told me that his one run cools with lube recomonded fluid ... so what you guys say would it be worth of trying lol .just for curiousity ... ................................................oh by the way Chris_Cincy just like i said b4 buy the car only if you feel comfortable with the car .. cuz leater on dont kill ur self regret with the hasitation or problem u asumeing or feeling with the test drive buy it as long as it drive smooth .. cus by looking at the yar and mil there shouldnt be any problem ...unless the owner was a car raper!....just like these ppl say ..

guesss what buying the parts at whole sale price is not worth ... becuase WHEN you buy parts from els where they rip you off with the labor... you cant tell them you gonna pay em by hourly .. then they will take extra hour to fix then the normal hour it would take and they tell you flat there they rip you offf .. seem like you didnt seen ny brooklyn tec lol

Denfending how much he loking for ... how gooddoes the car drive and what condition is it in ... who cares who done the servise keep in mind as long the car drive good thats all you need to know all i care is what conditon and how good does it run and the price !i hope thats help... and other hand if ur not sure take it to the dealer and let em chek it out for u .. if ur serious abt car ...have fun ok ..!

all rite lexus is best ............. but still expensive no matter what.. its obious that any engine or mechanical parts can go down on any brand cars but one time lexus problem cost 3 times as nissan brand does or toyota camery and avalon at reguler shop ..lexus u have to take it to dealer ..becus its the best.. you dont wanna mess it up by taking it to local shop you scared cuz you put alot of money buying it .. i hope ou guys know what i mean .. anyways its just an openion no hard feeling .. thank you all and keep it up .......... good luck with our lovely lexus

engine oil was changed dec 12 .. and drove about 550 miles its look darker then normal one .. well my brother took it to his freind and did the oil change thats what he told me now i got no idea what he put in there i mean what kida oil or filter dammmmmmn grrrrrrrr.. ummmmm so guys in this case what should i do?

just an general discusion ... what you guys think of lexus? in my openion lexus is for someone who have alot money i mean for someone who is rich + the parts of lexus is way too expensive for young ppl and student doooooooo yo guys agree? anything gose wrong with the car there you go.. thats it the mechanic will chop you till you beg lol ....its seem to me just too expensive generallly ... sooooooooooooo please leave ur comments on how you feel about lexus as second heand? .... thanks !..

ummm seem like i have all the problem . can anyone tell me why my 91 ls400 burn too much feul its like if i put 30 gas and then drive 25 min on local trafic and the 30 is gone ummm spending too much money on gas...is it normal if not can anyone tell what i should do to get it back to normal track?

yes my foot was on break any gear i change it to its gave me that stumble so is that it? if that so how many mount do i need to replace and the cost can be? ...

19 ls 400 about 145k on it .. i notice that when i put the gear to reverse its gives a knock b4 its run reverse and same gose for parking to drive .. when i put the car park to drive its gives a lil slower then reverse but its seem like slip... i dont know the proper word for it but if anyone can help? ...
