  3. 95 gs300 with jets supercharger. Picture was taken in 2004/5 at the time of installation as can be told from the tools on the car.
  4. Actually u will get a drop llike that with the tein ss. i know this cause that picture above is my car and its on tein ss. I have rose the car back up but its to a level where u cant stick ur finger in between the tire and the fender. < At this height theres still an inch of drop lift on the coils. The picture was taken when it was lowered to its maximum. I guess it looks lower cause of the rims, it has no lip it goes straight to the edge which make those 19s look like 20s and probably 21s with the drop. ps. do u like it?
  5. you have your car idling too long. i've read that you only need 30 seconds of warm up in the mornings. the temp. guage doesnt necessarily have to hit a certain level. Do your research online to make sure. This should add another 40 mpg

Thanks alot...I'm going to order tires this week...Do u have a cold air intake or exhaust on your GS? nop sorry don't like any of those. have cold air intake on gs300 and it made no difference. and i paid 300 bucks for it too. No gas mileage advantage, no power, only sound which actually gave u headache after a while. Exhaust, i have it on my gs300 and again nothing, actually it was stupid, waste of money, and pointless. no gas mileage advantage, no power, only sound and again the sound got annoying after a while especially a hard day at work, u just wanna go enjoy ur lexus but unfortunatly when u start it up u feel more like being in a CRX. BUT for my 430 that i have on that pic. i have no exhaust. its actually modified muffler tips that make a sound like exhaust but better cause i can adjust the volume on how loud, low, or off. and u wont be able to tell a diffence if its tips or exhausts and plus it was quarter of the price of exhausts, and its totally reversable within 10 minutes. and on top of that cops don't stress you :)
  8. 1100 thats pretty much what my teins cost. im trying to get my friend to get the teins for his gs but i guess ill take a look at the bisteins. i thought they were around $3000. ive heard they're pretty much the best out there. but will he get as much of a drop as i have on my pic posted above? actually a bit higher than that.
  9. check the connections on the battery, it even may need to be replaced. other than that my fa<edited> dealer said lexus personalized settings don't exist, there is no such thing.

  11. bilsteins, sound expensive. thats a good idea i actually have to get my ball/boy joints replaced and after i have to take it for alignment. it just has more boucing that i expected. ive had it for 4 months already. i thought maybe the dampening settings werent correct. thanks for ur help. it would be great if u could post a pic. of ur car, i see alot has been done.
  12. damn thats pretty bad, i didnt really think it could mess up ur fender. anyways i gotta get mines changed too, the guy at the alignment shop said they need to be replaced 6 months ago and i still havent touched it. anyone know what brand/make to go with? and whats a good price, how much will they cost??????
  13. cool. my gs300 was 6 lb of boost and it was perfect. 8 lb would be perfect plus u say i dont even have to reprogram my ecu? that should save me like 500 bucks. thanks man.

  15. bad choice man. listen to someone who has experience. i got gs300 a gs400 a gs430. going from a gs300 to a gs430 is a world of difference. i personally cant drive the same car for more than 2 years, the gs400 was the lastest car i bought, it was like a year and 3 months ago and im already looking at other cars. the way i see it is living 3 years with one car is enough. dont waste another 3 years with the same car. theres 100s of awesome vehicles out there that you would bond better. sorry gs lovers but u gotta look realize man ur gonna die soon. lifes too short to stay with 1 thing. go out. have fun. try different things. travel, see the world. buy a yacht. go rent an exotic. get drunk and pass out at the beach. wake up early go watch the sunrise. hell, go buy a german car. go follow your dream buddy. and if u respond back saying you've accomplished ur dream then i guess ur dream wasnt good enough cause youre driving a 02 gs300.
  16. thanks. ya i know u can tell by the white and blue logo on the center cap of the rims. homies at need4speed specalize in those. they may not be cheap but they look cheap (atleast it does in the pictures, i might like it in person but i doubt) and for 5 grand never mind for 2 grand you could have got some really good looking wheels but than again those are ur taste, i personally think those are the type of rims u see at a mini rim and chop shop in downtown owned by a guy named carlos lopez. whatever rocks ur boat buddy. also im not into getting stuff brand name cause its 2008 i think people who still shop brand name are wasting their money. Theres 2 reasons u buy brand name, 1 is to show off (where no one gives a s h i t about brand name anymore, unless ur hanging out with people who still think ridin lowenhart is cool. If u are sorry bud get yourself some business minded buddies) and 2 is for quality (its 2008 theres 1000 quality rim manufacturers out there). other than that heres some advice about dropping ur car: dont make the mistake and be a cheap !Removed! and go with springs. well that is if you're planning on keeping the car for more than a year. aftermarket springs w/ stock shocks is a bad combination. talk to the guys at tein about their CSS not the SS. u might get some rubbing on those 20s tho but it would be almost as soft as ur stock suspension (its adjustable remember) post up some pictures when its ready.

  18. each supercharger is made for each particular vehicle. each unit is assembled according to each vehicles specifications. rods are not the problem. the computer might be but dealer takes care of it for a couple of hundred bucks. on top of that theres people running supercharged 430s and there are tune shops selling kits for gs430s including jet technologies mentioned above.
  19. sorry buddy but that looks disgusting. i love the car, i'm glad u went with a v8. i dont know about that color is that black or purple? whatever it is, its too grandpaish. dont like ur rims either, it looks like someone just got out of jail and went to pepboys bought rims with the money he got from painting fences in the yard. looks too cheap, if u can afford a lexus then u can afford a nice set of wheels. those belong a ford taurus driven by a guy who bumps D4L and thinks he's a hardcode gangster. other than ur rims that i cant stand, im glad u went with a nice size on the tires. i like the fact that u at least got staggered tires; even tho falken suck. ummm oh and of course u gotta drop the car and at least for the drop try to do it right plz. dont get no cheap !Removed! springs ur gonna !Removed! up ur car. on top of that its still gonna look like an off roading as it currently does. go with coilovers. i also see ur on glendale ca. if u live out there then im sure youve seen this ride...
  20. thats a bad buy. don't go for it. you can get a gs400 for the price of that. if u cant find the gs400 for the same mileage, its ok to get it even if its a bit higher than 94k. u easily can get a 98 gs400 for 10 grand. dont go with the gs300, you'll hate yourself for it. the 400 is a complete different car. gs300 is a waste of money. no offense to whoever cant afford anything better. i have had a gs400, a gs300 and now have a gs430 and its on the way to the jet supercharger factory (u can contact them for pricing at 323 683-8027). cant wait till i get my 500 horses :) believe it or not a gs400 is actually a better car than the 430. the 430 is too much for luxury. the 400 is way sportier, even tho the 430 is half a car faster. the 400 handles way better+better engine response+steering wheel shifter+stiffer steering+stiffer suspensions+engine sounds wayyyyyy smoother. so get a 98/99 or even a 2000 gs400 and u can update it to look like a gs430 for under a thousand $. and youll have one of the best gs's ever made. then maybe later youll call those guys and supercharger it and we'll meet in person at the race track. good luck. that should put an end to this forum.
  21. if u want power u gotta go with a supercharger or twin turbos. whatevers in your budget. i personally went with a supercharger from jet technologies. i supercharged my gs300 back in 2003 i think with their now older model supercharger. i think they got this new model out called the t5 which produced insane power. ill probably soon get that on my gs430 and maybe intercool it later. i should be cranking around 500 horses. give them a call, remember its free to ask 323 683 8027 is jet technologies #. let us know when you get it done, post some pictures. THIS SHOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES! im guessing by third brake light you mean the one inside the car under the windshield. if you have put on a spoiler with an LED and brake then your car should look like a chirstmas tree. if you want to turn the one inside the car off. its very simple. get inside the car and you can pick up the whole light itself. its not bolted or glued or anything, its just been clipped on. play around with it and it will come off easily. then just disconnet the only wire. minutes after on your dash an orange brake malfunction light will go on. this is very simple too. all you have to do is take off the bulb. what you do is pull that circular guage cover off. again its not bolted or anything it just comes off. after taking it off youll see 4 (i think) bolts which easily come off with a 12mm. after taking that off just remove the brake bulb. then tap yourself on the back. Job well done, hopefully. that should put an end to this forum.
